Paul Di'Anno passes away, age 66

Glad I got to see Paul perform with Maiden in 1981. I know Killers doesn't get a whole lot of love here but that album was a springboard to introducing me to a whole lot of great Metal bands. Love that album!

I’ve been away from the Forum for a while but figured I’d log in to read people’s remembrances. It’s no exaggeration to say that he touched many lives, including my own. I will never forget spinning those first two albums, as well as Maiden Japan, over and over on the crappy turntable in my room when I was a teen. Formative years indeed. RIP, Paul.

I feared this would happen soon…the man have had some serious health issues innthe last ten years.

I love the two Maiden albums, and I will never forget seeing him live in 2006, that was a wild show with some old school Maiden tunes, a mad frontman and crazy good band. I hope you found your peace Paul
