Paul Di'Anno passes away, age 66

Iron Maiden (the song) on the radio right now. I've officially heard it all. Wrathchild's made two appearances over the last two days by my count as well, afternoon on Tuesday with a commemoration, and again today evening opening the 80s rock show thing they've got going on Wednesdays with Jyrki 69, the vocalist from the 69 Eyes, co-hosting.

Apparently Paul actually opened for them some 20 or so years back and he had some stories to share from meeting him back then, which I thought was really cool. He also proclaimed his love for the first two albums and accredited it in part to the punk-ish vibe and Paul's voice. His words, not mine and we're all of course entitled to our own opinions anyway.

Personally, I've never seen this one before. That's a friend of mine who posted it on Facebook. So, it was my turn to share it with you all in here. :)
My mind might have been playing tricks on me..it's always nice to see rare footage. Hope that we will get more stuff from the early days, 80's and so all other interesting eras of the band.

In some recent little interview Jyrki 69 commented on the Cart & Horses and said it was really nice, neat and cool place.

German news website Spiegel Online has an obituary on Paul in which they originally referred to the first EP as "The Smallwood Tapes". This has since been fixed.
Yes, it has been fixed because I told them to correct please, and they did immediately. Bild was also stupid. They wrote about "The Roundhouse Tapes".

I mean, that shouldn't be a surprise. I think this statement is a fundamental rule of the universe :D
That's true. But did you know: The press committee restricted "Bild" the following way: They lost the right to claim themselves being a newspaper. Appearing publicly as a newpaper requires a minimum amount ouf seriousness and dedication to truths in general. "Bild" permanently undergoing this minimum level, so that's why they are no more "Bild-Zeitung" but only "Bild". :D Too bad. :D
