The Future Past Tour 2024

I think they're always play Rush & Deep Purple just before the Doctor Doctor intro. I think They're using the same tape since 1995

Nah, it changed recently. During the LOTB tour usually the last 2 songs were Highway To Hell and Blackbird (Alter Bridge).
Rainbow in the Dark was played before Doctor Doctor in 2010 I believe after the death of Ronnie James Dio.

I could see part of Remember Tomorrow or Killers being played before Doctor Doctor today.

Me too. Or Running Free or something.

Great show in St. Paul tonight. Bruce went for most of the high notes and hit almost all of them, Janick’s melodic lead that was added to SIASL was actually very classy and well done, and I really liked most of the set list choices. The in-arena live sound was great, too. And Bruce paid tribute to Paul without getting too morose about it.

TL;DR: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker:

Bruce just had a lot of nice words to say about Paul before “The Time Machine”, and asked for a few seconds of silence.
Beautiful to hear and a class act and speech from Bruce. He talked about Paul's amazing voice which was instrumental for the first 2 groundbreaking albums, he mentioned his Battlezone stuff and said a song like Remember Tomorrow is absolutely awesome. Imagine if they played it...

We know from Ullevi 2005 that Bruce likes it a lot, but I think now that this song has a little more chance for next year. And it's not difficult.

I saw a lot of comments under videos that Adrian is angry at Nicko because of the inconsistant tempos, while actually it's quite opposite. Adrian has been helping Nicko as much as he can during the gigs. It's quite amazing to see. And Nicko appreciates that.

Does this look like two band members that don't get on?

I noticed this year that Adrian is quite active trying to improve the performances. Not only with Nicko, but he always signals to Bruce when he starts singing off-time. I think it's great that they acknowledge the mistakes and try to improve the performances so far into the tour.

I think the only way that Nicko continues to improve is with the help of the band. And they are doing exactly that. For the first time in a while I think Nicko will play on RFYL tour in 2025. He is changing things and trying things out (IEM's, lots of band communication, Adrian basically coaching him during gigs), which is a sign of somebody who doesn't want to retire.

Denver and Salt Lake gigs looked like they have a blast at the moment. Bruce is also possibly in the best form singing-wise on this leg at the moment.
This is so great to see and hear. Nicko should play slightly better next year too, right, even some of the tough material (Hallowed, Hills, Killers, Land, Rime, Phantom, it won't be easy though). Only the fast rolls will be a no.

Great words of tribute from Bruce to Paul Di'Anno, yesterday night in Minneapolis.

Here are the written version of Bruce statement about Paul's passing.

"So, this next track is actually called 'The Time Machine'. And I was watching 'Back To The Future' last night on TV and it's true. It is 1.21 gigawatts of power that you need to put a DeLorean through the portal of time itself. I normally tell a story about that [and] we have a bit of fun. But tonight is — I don't wanna put a downer on the proceedings at all, because our friend, our bandmember Paul Di'Anno passed away, as you are probably aware. And if you're not aware of that fact, you are now."

"Paul was instrumental in the first two albums, groundbreaking with 'Killers' and the first album. An amazing voice, devoted to rock and roll right up till the last minute of his life. So… for those of you who were born and still remember those early albums, when obviously I wasn't in the band and he was, and those of you who were fans of the stuff he did with BATTLEZONE and his own projects afterwards, and for anybody else that fancies having a listen to tracks like 'Remember Tomorrow' and stuff like that, which are absolutely awesome, I'm just gonna ask everybody to just take like a few seconds to just close your eyes in silence and say, just internally, mentally — if you believe in God, if you don't believe in God, it actually doesn't matter; just believe in what you believe in and just say, 'Thanks, boss, for doing what you did."

"So, Paul, if you're listening, this is a little message from Minneapolis to wherever you are, upstairs or downstairs, Minneapolis, for Paul Di'Anno, scream for me."

Don't have much to add to Jer's review of last night. Bruce was in amazing form, hitting most of his highs with very little noticeable straining. The Di'Anno speech was nicely and respectfully done, so it was great to have been there in person for that. Oddest bit of the night was the blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance of SIASL Eddie during that song. He came out for what seemed like 10-15 seconds, and then turned around and went backstage. Not sure if that's what always happens during that bit since I haven't watched loads of video from the tour, but the brevity seemed weird, like he missed a cue or something wasn't working right.

Thought for sure Legacy would've been my last time seeing them live, so I'm quite grateful I got the chance again, even if I didn't get as close on the floor as I usually do.

Yeah Stranger Eddie only comes out for a few seconds

I would add that nicko is playing really fast lately (compared to 2023). Of course its in a simple way but the songs are sounding much better in the last couple shows.
True, but that's not good in some aspects. Sometimes the fills suffer/are out of time because of that.

"The bell, Nick. Hit the bell!"
Dave's having fun, I guess.

I agree with the original comment. As much as some fills are needed and can be out of time because of that, I prefer fast tempo. The drum rolls are tougher for him, right. Hallowed, if played next year, will be very tough, of all tough 80's songs.
