I saw some photos of Slash soundchecking on the stage and there was an audio clip going around of AC/DC rehearsing 'Giving the dog a bone' from this week, pretty exciting wish I was there.

The $1600 pit looks quite small so everyone guaranteed a great view who paid for it at least.

I know a lot of people have said "good set, but missed Hallowed" etc. and I totally get the joke above, but one could argue that five songs from one of their most beloved classic albums (one of those songs being Wasted Years) + Can I Play With Madness, The Trooper and Fear of the Dark kind of counts as playing a classics heavy set... :p

That's true. I was talking with a casual fan who saw them at Wacken and didn't know most songs, who was disappointed in the setlist.
My thought was that 1/3 of the setlist was from a classic album (2 out of the 5 songs being singles), another 1/3 of the setlists were either singles themselves (CIPWM, The Trooper, FOTD), a deep cut from a classic album (The Prisoner) and of course the obligatory self-titled track. This leaves 1/3 being new songs, of which one was a single as well, so it's really not as if they played only unknown stuff.
