I saw some photos of Slash soundchecking on the stage and there was an audio clip going around of AC/DC rehearsing 'Giving the dog a bone' from this week, pretty exciting wish I was there.
The $1600 pit looks quite small so everyone guaranteed a great view who paid for it at least.

The way it should be. Maiden can be very stubborn but I love their integrity in this instance. They don't need to be reduced to an act that'll only play classics from 40 years ago. They have an unorthodox setlist and they're proud of it. And I adore that.

I know a lot of people have said "good set, but missed Hallowed" etc. and I totally get the joke above, but one could argue that five songs from one of their most beloved classic albums (one of those songs being Wasted Years) + Can I Play With Madness, The Trooper and Fear of the Dark kind of counts as playing a classics heavy set...

From the footage I've seen from Powertrip so far they were killing it. Especially CSIT, Bruce was sounding fantastic. Also saw a bit of FOTD and it was weird not hearing the audience singing along with the intro.

That's true. My thought was that 1/3 of the setlist was from a classic album (2 out of the 5 songs being singles), another 1/3 of the setlists were either singles themselves (CIPWM, The Trooper, FOTD), a deep cut from a classic album (The Prisoner) and of course the obligatory self-titled track. This leaves 1/3 being new songs, of which one was a single as well, so it's really not as if they played only unknown stuff.
