That’s a wrap for 2023! What a great tour.
It is very good indeed. But that is one dead-arse crowd during verses.
No hints in this, just a really good performance
Bruce sounds insanely good here!
They're all too busy waiting on their champagne and canapés.It is very good indeed. But that is one dead-arse crowd during verses.
They record every show and the drum camera placements vary from show to show (explained it the IM video production YT video). The band sounds really good. Bruce and Nicko! Listen to that Trooper or CSIT version! Best for this short leg. I'm happy they didn't change or add some songs because they always have faith in their sets, as great as it would have been to hear Hallowed. The crowd was fairly large, but not very enthusiastic, which is a shame. The set is far from unfamiliar or without classics.
There seems to be a camera above Nicko's kit. Maiden recorded the show for sure. I wonder if they will release an official live video of some song now that the tour is over for this year. I really want one. It's a tradition.
What an amazing tour. Love the concept, the stage and the setlist. The only one change I want for next year is Parchment. It would be perfect for me.
no way they will dump fotd to hallowed.Next year, I would change Celts for Parchement and FOTD for Hallowed.
But, not gonna happen. The set probably stays the same. Maiden most likely won't tour until July/August anyway. Unless Bruce does a Steve (borderline impossible as a vocalist).
Both would be horrible choices. Not a big fan of DOTC but I still believe the setlist shouldn't change.Next year, I would change Celts for Parchement and FOTD for Hallowed.
Well, Hallowed would be that song if they didno way they will dump fotd to hallowed.
Quite honestly this was the wrong tour for this festival. Would have been much better crowd response/reaction if it was a Pre-Covid LOTB.That's true. I was talking with a casual fan who saw them at Wacken and didn't know most songs, who was disappointed in the setlist.
My thought was that 1/3 of the setlist was from a classic album (2 out of the 5 songs being singles), another 1/3 of the setlists were either singles themselves (CIPWM, The Trooper, FOTD), a deep cut from a classic album (The Prisoner) and of course the obligatory self-titled track. This leaves 1/3 being new songs, of which one was a single as well, so it's really not as if they played only unknown stuff.
