I might be tipsy here but I also see how Maiden's fast paced lyrics can be more difficult than his solo stuff that he wrote to fit his

The red and the black is a good example of this, the live version sounds terrible and i don't blame Bruce. It's just that whoever wrote it tried to fit too many words in too short a space of time.

Do we know location of it?
Maybe again in Split, there is no so much distance between Zagreb and Ljubljana so they could repeate last year Split.

NAMM is this week. Let's see if Nicko is there and if he spills some beans about the setlist... Again.
I wouldn't bet on him being there- British Drum Company is not at NAMM this year. Paiste is, but I think the lack of BDC increases the chance he won't show up.

Just my personal opinion, the first 4:30 of The Red and the Black kind of suck.

But after that it shifts to something glouriously triumphant.
Pretty much mine too. I'm not a fan of the verses at all--too high for Bruce to comfortably sing without strain even on the studio track (and worse live), and it's got Harris's "let's have the lead guitar match the vocal melody" stamp on it.

But once we get out of those woods, the song (and especially the prolonged instrumental) is sooooo damn good.
