The Future Past tour 2023

I highly doubt it. A few more shows for this year are possible, methinks (the gap between early August and late September). IMO every tour should only be 2 years, but Maiden probably view this tour as a more of a Hits tour and they will want to finally play again in Asia/Australia and the big festivals in Europe in 2025. Plus, they are not in a hurry for a new album.

Rod: ''As a prelude to our appearance at the Power Trip Festival in Indio, CA in October we’re delighted to bring our Future Past shows to our fans in Western Canada. It’s been quite a few years since we were last there and audiences are always terrific. We look forward to seeing you all again. The European leg starts very soon and personally I can’t wait to finally hear a lot more of Senjutsu and delve deeper into Somewhere in Time!''

Same for us, Rod.

Edit: ''a lot more of Senjutsu''? 6 songs (with 5 from SIT)? ''deeper into Somewhere In Time''? Sea,/Runner/Alexander?
The way thats worded certainly makes out the 3 Canadian shows are all we can expect to be added

Tbh, if they play DOFP and TWOTW, those are Smith/Dickinson compositions, so that fills the need for that.

But yeah, I think Parchement and Darkest Hour have the highest chance of the remaining songs.

I would love to see (and have on video) Adrian with the double neck guitar. I'm always curious if he'll do something special like using the slide on "Senjutsu".
On the other hand, I think "The Parchment" is great too.
Can't they play the whole album and leave out the classics?
:dancinggeek:....runs away quickly to take cover....

...

But yes, I get your point... The Parchment certainly isn't an easy sing-along song. I really hope they play it, though, because imo it's maiden at it's best.

Great, I want to hear Bruce. :D Those who will have the urgent need to sing can sing "Meet me there".

The Parchment is meant to be played live. All these gorgeous melodies. I can picture Bruce interacting with the audience, especially during the very long intro, making people singing ooh-oh-oh along the guitar melodie. How great this would be!

I highly doubt that the double neck will make an appearance again, because of H's back issues. If they perform The Darkest Hour, I see H going with an acoustic 12 on the stand.

But, stranger things have happened.

Easy: Double neck on a stand :D

Cant wait to see the setlist and stage.
The setlist has the potential to be one of their best.

I think the stage will be better than the 1986 one. It will be busy. They can use the decor from SIT album cover (but with dark colours), although I doubt it because this is still the new album tour. I don't expect a hint of Senjutsu in the design though. They didn't use the album cover as a decor in 1986 (like they did with Seventh Son and Powerslave). Maybe they will use more inflatables props as a throwback to the 1986 tour. A video intro before the tour intro is also needed, like for TBOS tour. Bruce's costume, Nicko's drum kit, the backdrops and even the floor artwork will be really curious because this tour is for 2 albums and it remains to be seen which theme will prevail in terms of backdrops and Bruce's theatrics. Combo of both? The big Eddie should be Senjutsu.

I'm putting my money on it getting played. Steve will be keen to play this one. It's got live written all over it especially with the instrumental section. it's 100% in imo
