No, no discussions needed. I am just happy I have found someone else who thinks it sounds strange. Please, let's not start the downtuning argument again...

1. Pass The JamExactly what I want is Iron Maiden songs. Like around…16 of em’. I anticipate I’m getting exactly what I want.
True.Powerslave might be uneven, but it features four of the best songs Maiden have ever recorded and epitomises the classic 80s Maiden sound, the stuff that made them legendary.
I agree and it's perfect for me, although I would have liked another shorter song.Senjutsu might not be perfect, but it's a very consistent album. It's easily one of the strongest of the reunion era and would still make my top 10 if I'm looking at the whole catalogue.
Spot on.Looking back at for instance the 2011 setlist, I always thought that was too much on the safe side.
For me those albums are POM and TFF (it's difficult to choose when all albums are very good), but I'm happy with any setlist. The original setlist of Legacy tour was indeed one of their best. Great balance. A perfect setlist is defined if you like all songs in it, the songs are always strong. My opinion is that they can top it with Future Past.I'm a fan of Senjutsu and Somewhere in Time to me is the most consistent Maiden album, but the first two years of LotB had a perfect setlist.
To me, unique setlists are just as fun to witness as a set of my absolute favorites. If I had a set of 5-and-5 from the albums I think are the weakest of the 80s and of the reunion era (TNOTB, DoD), I'd be happy.
1. Pass The Jam
2. More Tea Vicar
3. Age Of Innocence
4. ...
I am not denying it would be a cool setlist (I will probably get to see 8 songs I have never seen live before in addition to Heaven Can Wait and Wasted Years), but that is not the benchmark I would necessarily use to describe the best Iron Maiden setlist ever.
Nice to see you´re back! Have a great Vappu!Hey, I've been away for while again. Sorry.
I have had some little stuff going in real life, so I've somehows managed to stay away from the forums.
I've been busy and stressed some stuff, but last week I got the biggest news of the year..Im so lucky one.
I might share more insight to this later but that can wait til another day.
Looking forward to the show and seeing Eddie & The Boys in early june.
And I am off to celebrate Vappu in Levi this weekend!Nice to see you´re back! Have a great Vappu!
(when was the last time NotB wasn't played?)
Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Trooper and Fear of the Dark. What are considered the 5? Fear, Hallowed, Run to the Hills, 666 and Trooper? I think Run to the Hills will be dropped in favor of a Seventh Son song.
I think we can be back up to 16 considering there's no longer the 'dead space' in the set for the Revelations set change and second encore break.Maybe we get 16 song setlist with those 5 and one 7th Son song, probably TEMTD, Madness or even Clairvoyant.
It's been 6 years since they last played Wrathchild...Maybe we get 16 song setlist with those 5 and one 7th Son song, probably TEMTD, Madness or even Clairvoyant.
Shut up--Steve'll hear you. I don't need yet another live album down the road with Wrathchild on it.It's been 6 years since they last played Wrathchild...
14 or 15. They are probably playing a lot of long songs and even a 14 song setlist will be around normal concert length for Maiden.Maybe we get 16 song setlist with those 5 and one 7th Son song, probably TEMTD, Madness or even Clairvoyant.
