Western Canada shows just announced for Sept/Oct.

Y’all eating your hats yet?
Well that's Canada, Still dont think we see a run of US dates until next year.. These 3 shows are most likely there only warm ups in a different country

Well, it's pretty obvious the Power Trip opportunity came after the 2023 tour was set up as they stated there would be no NA/SA shows in 2023. And as others here correctly speculated they would have to do some warm up shows somewhere first so it would not surprise me if the 3 Canada shows will be last ones announced for 2023.

There isn’t an “only US show” stipulation. Metallica is touring all summer.
The reason why I mentioned the possibility is before the line up was officially announced I did see on social media someone leaked the same graphics and line up that Power Trip used and after Friday there was a graphic in the same style saying "only NA date this year". Of course things change or perhaps that was intended for AC/DC or Ozzy.

But it should be noted that instead of doing a few shows on the West Coast US and keep it all in the same country, they are doing the prior shows in Canada before going to the US just for the festival (it seems for now anyway)

I have no clue how well Power Trip is selling but if there will be more US dates perhaps they will hold off as long as they can until the festival fills out more. Anyway, I'm starting to overthink things so I will stop now

If Power Trip was willing to play ball with them, I could see a situation where Maiden negotiated a higher cut for the festival appearance with an exclusivity clause since they'll be doing the Americas next year anyway. Is it likely? Probably not, if that was the case then they'd probably have used it in their promotion. But hey, maybe. If they stick to just doing Canada this year then I think something like that could've maybe happened.

Ah, the famous one-off show North American tour!

Hopefully this will lead to more announcements which in turn could mean that we won't get 3 legs again. I wanna see as many different tours as humanly possible still :dancinggeek:
There will still be 3 legs, regardless of what happens this year there is still going to be an extensive US and South American run in 2024.
2025 will most likely still have the likes of Aus / Asia and another brief run of Europe
Cant see any of this changing

Eh, the more dates they manage to cram into Autumn/Winter of 23, the more they free up 24. This way there's no need to go all the way into 25, which (imo of course) would be ridiculous.

Had been cautiously hoping for a Vancouver show. Thankful that one is happening. Might grab the weekend Alberta show if it works out but thats far less likely.

I highly doubt they are cramming in much more if anything at all. The 2024 North / South American tour is happening nothing is changing that.

They won't be booking any shows this year in cities they have lined up for next year.

So yeah I can see it going into 2025 with a brief run of Europe and Australia Asia etc in that time

This extra few run of dates changes nothing to there long term touring plans which are often planned 2 years in advance

I highly doubt it. A few more shows for this year are possible, methinks (the gap between early August and late September). IMO every tour should only be 2 years, but Maiden probably view this tour as a more of a Hits tour and they will want to finally play again in Asia/Australia and the big festivals in Europe in 2025. Plus, they are not in a hurry for a new album.

Rod: ''As a prelude to our appearance at the Power Trip Festival in Indio, CA in October we’re delighted to bring our Future Past shows to our fans in Western Canada. It’s been quite a few years since we were last there and audiences are always terrific. We look forward to seeing you all again. The European leg starts very soon and personally I can’t wait to finally hear a lot more of Senjutsu and delve deeper into Somewhere in Time!''

Same for us, Rod.

Edit: ''a lot more of Senjutsu''? 6 songs (with 5 from SIT)? ''deeper into Somewhere In Time''? Sea,/Runner/Alexander?
