Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

I just watched their show in Wacken 2016. Wow, how much they have aged!
In only 7 years (saw them 2023 too). That is not that much time.

I would really like to connect them with some excellent health care providers ( I am a nurse and I also work with physicians who have celebrity clients, actors in that case who often have to get extremly fit for their upcoming films, some for example also want to do stunts themselves without a stand-in and some of them are in their 50s or even 60s!).

Some here wrote they have excellent health care, Bruce is a cancer survivor, but I am not convinced. I also don't know what Bruce's cancer specialists have to do with it.

It's purely selfish: I want great performences from them in 2025 and beyound. ;)

There might even be something to this.
I remember someone translated an interview with Bruce where he mentioned Steve's surprise that Bruce hadn't an alternative cancer treatment.
I don't think a person has ideas like this when they are working with really competent medical care they trust.

It can be difficult even for wealthy people to find good advice in this area because there is also the temptation to simply get as much money as possible out of a client.

I don't understand your argument. According to you, it is basically impossible that anything could be improved, be it in the way of management or something else?

It is just that I have been on tour in real life (not as a musician) and I know what a hell of a difference it made before and after the ensemble had good health care. That is why I could relate to this point.

It's funny how some seem to know the band better than they ever knew themselves.
Some facts:
1) how a person's age is totally different from one person to another no matter if they've followed the exact same path in life,. If it's true how we take care of our health helps, it's not pure science. And sometimes health may decline very very fast no matter how much you've taken care of it...this is why health will never be pure science!
2) playing drums is by far the the most tiring job in a band (having played guitar and drums for year now I can tell...actually its not even necessary to have played them, to know it, its 100% obvious)
3) We're used to a very high level of energy with Maiden in terms of live shows that bands half their age never done. So of course, when you don't see Bruce jumping above the stage monitors as he used to, first thing we think is "how god, how come they don't do it anymore when others bands older than they still do the same as 20-30 years ago...well maybe because they never had the energy the Maiden guys had!" Of course, you take a guy lets say like Ian Hill...he could go on forever since his energy on stage...oh well

Of course, I'd like every band member to have the same energy forever but it's not gonna happen. Of course, maybe there's something that could be done to improve a little bit here and there but lets be honest its not like we're gonna witness the same level of energy they had 10-15 years ago...we have to accept the fact and not try to find every kind of excuse to how they are now and specially how they should handle things becaus WE know their lives better than them...

That's why you need advice that is tailored to your individual physiology.

Of course it is pure science. What else is it? Esoteric?
If your health suddenly goes rapidly downhill and someone suggests to you that there are basically no reasons for this and that nothing can be done, you are simply not dealing with someone who can diagnose competently.
That happens often, unfortunately.

Pure science is maths or physics (or exact science if you prefer), health is not a pure science since everyone's body is different and will react differently to treatments (with some common points of course but never 100%)

I don't know. For example, there are more and more cancer therapies tailored to individual patients, which are of course science-based, even if they wouldn't work as well for other patients.

Let's see how they do on this leg of the tour in Australia. If Nicko's playing is worse than last year then we can have this discussion.

Agreed! If things look bad, we need to meet our obligations, contact Rod and recommend the right experts. :D
