The Future Past tour 2023

I was at the second Krakow show. Sound was not very good, imo. Bruce's voice was not very clear to me. Like it was a blanket on his microphone. I agree with some of you, that compared to LOTB the new live show feels a little bit underwhelming.
I did not felt that Nicko is running on his last fumes. Sometimes I felt that Bruce's voice was not ideal (maybe sound issues). Highlights: Stranger in a Strange Land, Can I Play With Madness, The Prisoner, ALEXANDER THE GREAT, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, Hell on Earth.
Also I felt that SIT songs do sound better/clearer. Maybe it's because of those different guitar amps/technical mumbo jumbo.
Bruce said that the crowd was the best so far in Europe. Also at the end he said something along the lines take care, we need to see you again. I guess, they are not going to hang it up soon. I bought Can I Play With Madness/Fear of the Dark t-shirt.
Waiting to see them again..

I think that some of the Eddie-less backdrops have been quite refreshing. There have not been that many, but some of them were great (Paschendale, The Prisoner, Death of the Celts).

I have been quite critical of their use (abuse?) of Eddie as a promotional tool, but I quite like the new backdrop for Fear of the Dark.
My favorite backdrops from the current tour are for: CSIT, Prisoner, Celts, Alexander, FOTD and Hell On Earth.

My favorite non-Eddie backdrops from all tours are: CSIT, Celts, WED, Revelations, Iron Maiden (Legacy tour), IESF, Talisman (2010), Rime (2008), No More Lies and Powerslave (1985).

But the backdrop sucks. I remember those times when a solid white color backdrop was amazing with a few lights on the floor. See Seventh Tour or World Slavery Tour
Strongly disagree. Great backdrop. Something interesting. I would even frame that image and attach it to my living room wall. I wouldn't do this with any other of their artworks. (Had a lot of Eddies on my wall when I was 15 though.)

All the props and costumes on the LotB tour kind of distracted from the music, in my opinion.
I respectfully disagree. The big screens can do that imo.
I have to say, I was worried after some of last year's performances from Bruce. But this year he's been probably the star of the tour, I'm blown away. Makes me more excited for his solo album honestly.
I wasn't worried at all. RTTH was always a difficult song live, Aces High too, especially last in the set.

No CSIT as part of the highlights? I think Maiden (and Nicko) will want to celebrate their 50th anniversary probably with a tour in 2025. They can do a short European leg next year (along with the SA/NA dates). Their decision for the next tour will be curious.
They've just offered the Hellfest event shirt in the store. And it looks :ninja:  ...
Not that bad, Stranger Eddie is cool, but they all look kind of samey.

Well, I can see tastes differ, but I really don't get why so many of you folks here like their recent event shirts that much. They look like designed and painted by a 5th grader to me. And that's going on for years yet already.

I get why they still play it. It's a good way to pump back up the crowd after a long-ish, slower song. It's a short rocker that gets a big pop from the crowd, most fans still love the song, and they love to sing along with the "Oh-Oh-Oh..."
I guess they thought it would be inappropriate of all years not to play "The Trooper" in the year of the Trooper beer anniversary and the new Trooper beer for Germany.

Would be nice to see these guys support Maiden one day!

Not that the others performances weren't good (they were), but this has to be best version of CSIT so far? Just wow at Bruce and the tempo by Nicko is simply amazing.
I haven't been keeping up with the videos after seeing the first show in person, but based on this comment, I decided to check it and out, and it was amazing. The only shitty thing is the daylight and the dead festival audience.

I think that for this tour, it'd be best if they just released a live album/video with each song from a different show.

What is the floor artwork for this tour? I think it's a continuation of the neon lights. A shaft can also be seen on Janick's side. Btw, TBOS tour had an amazing floor artwork.

The light show (floor lights too) is effective and cool during Hell On Earth:
