Judging by the videos i have seen from tonight, Bruce and Nicko totally on fucking fire
Yes indeed. What a great performance from Bruce. Nicko is solid too. Probably the fastest version of Trooper so far.
My favorite backdrops from the current tour are for: CSIT, Prisoner, Celts, Alexander, FOTD and Hell On Earth.I think that some of the Eddie-less backdrops have been quite refreshing. There have not been that many, but some of them were great (Paschendale, The Prisoner, Death of the Celts).
I have been quite critical of their use (abuse?) of Eddie as a promotional tool, but I quite like the new backdrop for Fear of the Dark.
Strongly disagree. Great backdrop. Something interesting. I would even frame that image and attach it to my living room wall. I wouldn't do this with any other of their artworks. (Had a lot of Eddies on my wall when I was 15 though.)But the backdrop sucks. I remember those times when a solid white color backdrop was amazing with a few lights on the floor. See Seventh Tour or World Slavery Tour
There's Obelix on the back art and what else? They've just offered the Hellfest event shirt in the store. And it looks ...
I respectfully disagree. The big screens can do that imo.All the props and costumes on the LotB tour kind of distracted from the music, in my opinion.
I wasn't worried at all. RTTH was always a difficult song live, Aces High too, especially last in the set.I have to say, I was worried after some of last year's performances from Bruce. But this year he's been probably the star of the tour, I'm blown away. Makes me more excited for his solo album honestly.
No CSIT as part of the highlights? I think Maiden (and Nicko) will want to celebrate their 50th anniversary probably with a tour in 2025. They can do a short European leg next year (along with the SA/NA dates). Their decision for the next tour will be curious.I did not felt that Nicko is running on his last fumes.
Highlights: Stranger in a Strange Land, Can I Play With Madness, The Prisoner, ALEXANDER THE GREAT, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, Hell on Earth.
Also at the end he said something along the lines take care, we need to see you again. I guess, they are not going to hang it up soon.
Not that bad, Stranger Eddie is cool, but they all look kind of samey. They've just offered the Hellfest event shirt in the store. And it looks ...
Well, I can see tastes differ, but I really don't get why so many of you folks here like their recent event shirts that much. They look like designed and painted by a 5th grader to me. And that's going on for years yet already. Not bad, Stranger Eddie is cool, but it looks kind of samey to the previous ones.
I guess they thought it would be inappropriate of all years not to play "The Trooper" in the year of the Trooper beer anniversary and the new Trooper beer for Germany.I get why they still play it. It's a good way to pump back up the crowd after a long-ish, slower song. It's a short rocker that gets a big pop from the crowd, most fans still love the song, and they love to sing along with the "Oh-Oh-Oh..."
I haven't been keeping up with the videos after seeing the first show in person, but based on this comment, I decided to check it and out, and it was amazing. The only shitty thing is the daylight and the dead festival audience. Not that the others performances weren't good (they were), but this has to be best version of CSIT so far? Just wow at Bruce and the tempo by Nicko is simply amazing.
maiden only have loud fans in south america countries. The only shitty thing is the daylight and the dead festival audience.
