Also all the SIT and Senjutsu tracks that I had an inkling would be played were played except for Death of the Celts which I thought had a chance but Parchment was what I thought was more likely. Would have never guessed in a million years for CIPWM and The Prisoner, and overall the set was pretty short on the "staples" with only 4 of the set regulars and even then Wasted Years isn't one of the most regulars.

Excluding Alexander, the unexpected surprises are CIPWM and to a lesser extent Celts instead of Parchment imo. Maybe dropping both Hallowed and NOTB was also a surprise. Adding Prisoner not so much because Bruce talked about it (SIASL too) and Nicko played it last year with his solo band.
Wasted Years has been played live a lot since 1999 though. On 5 tours, iirc.
 
Just throwing in my two cents but I've seen Maiden at a good handful of UK festivals over the past 20 years and for me the worst of the bunch was the hit-filled Download 2013 show

All I heard was... just noise. And Ulrich bashing the drums loud as hell while altering the tempo every each second. Could not feel any sense of musicality at all last night.
Also, because of the round stage and where I stood, for 70% of the show I couldn't even see anyone playing.

Made me miss good old Maiden

I haven't seen Metallica yet, I will see them in August at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Hopefully the sound is better then.

To this day, I still kick myself that I missed the Maiden England tour. So, I feel getting Prisoner and CIPWM is a consolation of sorts. :D

I'm selling two tickets for Iron Maiden on Monday, June 26 in Glasgow. They are seated tickets in Section 224. I bought them from Ticketmaster however I then bought two more tickets that are better for me due to being disabled. These tickets are resale tickets and I've just discovered that I can't resell them or transfer them on Ticketmaster or similar sites so if someone does want them then I think the only thing we can do is to meet at the venue and you will have to come in with me as my phone will have to be scanned however I will send you an email with a screenshot of the tickets. I only want what I paid for them and can send you an email with the proof of purchase.
By the way this is my first post on here so I hope this is OK.
