The Future Past tour 2023

Now that footage from a good number of shows is around I think its fair to say Bruce easily sounds the best he has since the 2018 Legacy of the Beast leg, where he was absolutely on fire.
I think there is/was no doubt about that. Bruce is second to none.

They have moved his monitors to the front of the stage, which probably makes it easier to hear the band. It also means he is standing more in the middle, not moving much, but it fits him well. He is a very captivating storyteller despite running less.

I agree. I am pleasantly surprised and hoping this lasts until the end of the tour.

I wonder if him not moving that much around has something to do with it. He is fairly static on stage during songs in which he would usually be running. If the price to pay for the lack of movement is better singing, I am all for it!
Is really weird, and when he is static i think the wey he moves the arms its like joking. I remember first show during ATG the part he says "entering babylon" and its strange. Btw i think he has a problem again with something and he can not run and the monitors are on the side for that reason. For not stand on it.

It would be nice, but if the festival is during the day, I don't want it. Should we expect pro-shots? I'm expecting from Wacken this year or Power Trip, but best to wait until next year (I guess) for the official release from Maiden.
It's the usual 9 pm for Maiden but that shouldn't matter much if you are referring to the Sun VS Light Show battle. We are at our brightest now in Sweden and the sun sets at around 10 pm but it will never be that dark anyway.

Why can’t our favorite band have a Dave Mustaine?
Luckily for us, Iron Maiden's Dave Mustaine is split between two different people (or perhaps two big egos would be more accurate) in the band so besides some years astray in the 90s the situation's been incredibly stable from an outside perspective.

The nicko issue.....maybe he can be rhe drummer at the studio and for the tour hire another guy? Would be weird but...i think he is going to stay for at least 1 record and 2 tours more. And i think thats what are we going to have 1 more album and 2 more tours apart from this one

1 more album and 2 more tours (new album tour & Hits/50th anniv. tour) with Nicko would be the best possible scenario. That's another 4 or 5 years, though.

Yea, this is the same thought I've had. Joe Lazarus as touring drummer and Nicko in the studio, where he can go all out for a few minutes at a time and get some rest so we can still get an amazing Nicko performance. But having him play these songs for 1.5-2 hours every night, night after night, it's taxing. It's taxing for anyone. I'm only 43 and somedays, despite working out regularly, I absolutely feel my age. I can't imagine being thirty years older and ever being athletic enough to play the way Nicko plays.

I’ve seen a lot of crazy takes on this forum, but wishing Maiden had a Dave Mustaine is up there. :D
I am not wishing it! :)
But this convo would be MUCH different if we were dealing with someone with that type of personality.

I actually prefer how Mustaine sounds over Hetfield. Hetfield's voice is in better shape and he's a far better singer, I just cant stand his cowboy yeah-yeahing whoa whoaing his way through the songs.
Yeah but Mustaine sounds like Hetfield, except he's pinching his nose and forgot how to sing. Megadeth's music will forever remain a mystery to me beyond what they play on the radio because good God there's no getting around those vocals.

Took me years to tolerate Geddy Lee's vocals otherwise would have been a bigger Rush fan.
