The Future Past tour 2023

Not announced yet, but on thursday.

This goes against what they told us after LOTB ended regarding this years tour, but clearly something has made them change plans.

Will be interesting to see how many shows they are intending in USA later this year. I doubt it's just the one show, but it's probably not a very extended run. Between 5-10 shows?
My guess is they do a 5-10 show South American tour in late August/September and then straight to a 5-10 show U.S. tour (probably with a stop or two in Mexico or Canada, as well).

It would make far more sense to let this tour exist solely in 2023 and then move forward with something else in 2024. Which, of course, means we'll be looking at Future Past tour dates until 2025 :dancinggeek:

On second thought it wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being a one-off show.
No way in hell they're bringing over their entire production for a one-off, makes no sense financially. It damn near has to be at least a short run of dates.

Either that or they've gone completely bonkers and are planning on doing an extra festival hits show with minimal production purely for cash.

Not sure how much I believe that being that Ozzy has pretty much stated he's retired from touring due to his back issues?
Don't think it's really a rumor when the relevant artists' Twitter accounts all posted the same tease for a reveal that's coming on the 30th.

Well, I think it's possible that this changed their plans:

The 36th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Saturday, October 30th, at 8 p.m. EST at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Yeah, Bruce stated whatever he has in the past. But, I think a bit of persuading from Rod, the managment and possibly bandmates changed that. We all know that fan votes for that shithole mean basically nothing and the bands are more or less decided by the jury which runs the place. So, I think got the note they are getting in and the managment persuaded them to attend. So, they combined that with a run of US dates starting with Powertrip (or one arena gig before in LA to get the rust off), which is a goldmine for the artists in terms of money (Rod's inner Yorkshireman is probably in heaven).

I expect a short run of dates through the US (around 10-12 concerts) and possibly a date or two in Mexico (likely Monterrey) to be announced after Powertrip sells out, which it will very fast. Going from west coast to the east coast. Basically the same old tactics as with Download recently. Tour either finishes with RRHOF or in Florida.

My 5 cents.

They must be getting paid a huge amount of money to do that, as they previously announced that the current tour dates were all for this year!

Common sense would say they'd do a short run in the Americas given that they would lug the stage set on over for this. But, given the level of acts this promoter was paying in the previous iteration of the festival, I could see Maiden's management thinking that paycheck would be worth it for a one-off. This promoter's got loads of money.

Also, I am definitely going if this is confirmed.

I don't know the promoter but they've clearly got deep pockets to lure all these acts for potentially one off performances.

Personally, I think Maiden will build a small tour around this festival.

Tours always end in Florida. Nicko needs to get back to his ribs shack.

You might be on to something.

It does after you have made millions on the European tour, Bringing the production over for a one off US festival which they will be paid a good amount of money to do is very plausible. Its no different to ACDC travelling half way across the world to do a one off show for the first time in years

It's strange because they said they won't be adding more dates this year, so I'd expect a short run of NA dates (5-10), but a one-off show like they did in 1985 in Brazil is also possible. Whether or not it's connected with the RRHOF (Bruce! haha). I still think their plan is to do a major SA/NA tour in 2024 and then a short tour (Europe, festivals, Asia, Australia) in 2025 to wrap it all up. I'm sure, especially since Steve said they will concentrate on touring.
