RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Agreed, but at the same time they always play 5-6 new songs on album tours and I doubt they care that much about streaming stats.

I think it's no coincidence that the gaps between albums got longer, and the returning to the same territories on retro tours started happening when renting music and only listening to selected "hit" tracks from albums became the norm for most listeners.

Perhaps the creative drive to write new music more often is no longer there.

With fans as loyal as Maiden’s, they could release new material every three years and still sell a significant amount of albums in a multitude of different formats.

Sorry if this has been covered- but I’m hoping U.S dates this tour will be announced after their current run? ‍

I compiled a bit of personal statistics, asked buddies, but also on my Insta etc, why people want to see this tour so much.
Listening to the classics and the promised super show play a role, but above all it came out:
Who knows how many more tours will happen (also with/because of Nicko), we can't miss this (last?) chance/last chance with the familar line-up.

Those dates are more likely to be announced closer to the end of the European tour, assuming the US run is planned for summer which would make the tour 12 months out. Australia/NZ/Japan are likely to come out next if they plan to follow the same pattern of FP

Maiden have never been really that surprising or creative with their openers. The only expectations would be CSIT on this tour (a surprise for many), Murders in 1982 and 2005, and Beast in 2003.
I think it is safe to say that there is no obvious opener for this tour and that is quite exciting.
This.
As I said couple of weeks ago, my money is on Sanctuary. Energetic start to the show and after a couple of verses when it slows down, Brucey can do a bit of "You ready?! You ready?!! So give me Sanctuary from the law...". And at the ending before the "climax" crowd jumping etc. Not too far fetched as an early song as it was second number during World Piece Tour.
No chance for Sanctuary. Prowler is probably the same. Being an opener in 1983 was an exception, probably because Nicko didn't really want to play Eagles live.
In not so sure about Moonchild but I think BQ and Phantom both have a good chance and would work well.
I wonder between Phantom and Run To The Hills which could be a better opener.

Nicko should do well with Be Quick, right. I mean, after CSIT. The aforementioned songs are not easier.
Not likely to be played at all I'd guess, the spitfire was already the centrepiece of one tour, so it would be a rehash to do it again
That's why also think they won't open with Moonchild again, which was played for 3 years in a row.
Maiden tend to play tracks that challenge them and I think it's more a case of their being no song that would be a challenge for them to play live.
Agree with the first statement. About the second, I think there are such songs. Aces, Hills, Long Distance Runner to name a few.

Can't disagree, you can't beat the classics, but the at the same time the classic albums have an advantage because they were released first. That's why they can rotate new albums and hits tours. I think 3-4 (even 5) years between albums is normal for an old band.

For the first - no chance. About the second - very true.
but maybe they can improve it somehow.
I don't think they can.

Since the 2026 leg of the tour will be big, then it should start in the summer. If they play not only SA and NA but Australia/NZ/Japan and some European dates again, then it could be May/June-September which would be a long tour. Almost the same pattern of TFP.
Bruce can do a solo tour then too (February-April), 3rd leg(?), but I'm not sure (although he has a lot of songs to play again; for next year for sure), especially if Maiden have plans to write a new album. And also when he will write and release his next solo album. He said it should be sooner this time.
