RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Phantom isn't a hit? If they want a Bruce 80's hit, then do Trooper. It would feel so fresh. Number was kind of an odd opener. Murders is my least favorite of the options. Might even prefer Aces/Moonchild over it, wow.
If we scratch a 3rd 90's song (second from FOTD), Tailgunner (because it's from NPFTD), Prowler (why?), Phantom, Eagles (because of Nicko), then what? Aces and Moonchild again, more of the same. Murders is an option, Bruce likes it, but it was the opener for the 2005 tour, no solos, and I doubt it's the most popular song from its album.

I wonder how would Prowler's intro work for an opener, did they used it in the early days? We know Sanctuary, but I doubt it now.
Actually, Wrathchild (used in the early days) can work as an opener - with Steve starting the show! Be Quick and Trooper will be the most effective for this tour imo.
I'd like to see Prowler as the opener, but I think it's too bold of a move. I don't think they'll even consider playing it at all, but I hope I'm wrong, because it's my favourite early Maiden song. Prowler could work as an opener, but something like Trooper would work better and get it out of the way too. Number was an odd opener indeed, but for this tour maybe it should be the opener. All I know is that Trooper and Number are definitely gonna be played. So, one of them as an opener to get it out of the way would be good enough for me. That way we don't get to see Aces High too, which is another +. Tailgunner is a bit too stupid lyrically to be played imo. Also, I don't see any reason to play Tailgunner instead of Aces High. I also prefer Moonchild, Aces over Murders. I really don't know, it just seems logical to me that they would open with a Bruce hit.

I do not want any song from the first two albums :p Deepcuts from POM, Powerslave, Seventh Son and something from No Prayer would be much more fun
There aren't many deep cuts that they might play from these albums.
POM: To tame a land, Still Life, Die with your boots on (does it count?)
Poweslave: Flash of the blade? (I doubt it), Powerslave and Rime don't really count as deep cuts, but one of them will be played 100%
SSOASS: Is the title track a deep cut? Only the good die young and Infinite Dreams are the others.
Songs like the Clairvoyant and Where eagles dare, Revelations etc don't count as deep cuts imo, but I want them too!
Tbh I want them all!
From No prayer I only want the title track, but we will get Bring your Daughter.

I was thinking of songs like Seventh Son, Still Life and Rime. I kinda count them as deepcuts compared to songs like Aces High, 2 Minutes or Revelations :D

Sorry to disappoint you...
Yeah I know there will be but I do not want them :p

But why a bold move, it or Phantom? Lyrics? The early days era is very popular. Logical to open with a Bruce hit, I see. Let it be Trooper then. Plus if they don't play Running Free/Sanctuary, I expect songs from the first two albums to be played earlier in the set.

If I have to choose between Aces and Moonchild now, I'd go with the latter, because it hasn't been played in 10 years.

Tailgunner, on the other hand, probably has the 3rd best chance for its album - after Daughter and the title track.

It's not like the 90's albums (although the ''possibilities'' are probably around 6 songs from both), but the 80's albums still have a good amount of deep cuts they could play - around ''8'' (at most) imo, and after Alexander. The first two albums, at least 4. I want them all, plus 2 from the early days.

Probably over precaution but as I don´t want even slightest risk of setlist spoilers, probably wise to back off from this website until the summer. Therefore, ?th and final summary of the setlist as I firmly believe it will be:

-16 or 17 songs in total
-5 songs from the first two albums, something from Killers which is not Wrathchild, opener Sanctuary, last encore Running Free
-Beast, Hallowed, Hills
-Sun & Steel or To Tame A Land
-Ancient Mariner
-SIT omitted or one song at most if they play at least one from each nine
-Anything is possible from 7th Son except Madness (just played) and Prophecy (most unlikely)
-Take a grain of salt when Rod speaks, but he stated back in 2014 that 80s based tours are over, SO. At least two songs from the two 90s albums which is not the title track of FOTD

Up the Irons and have a blast in the summer!

it's impossible to fit this period into one setlist with 15 songs, so the only way to please the dieahard fans (to a point) is to rotate some songs, at least 2 or 3. "all hits" setlist won't please anyone (maybe the festival goers only). so there must be some deep cuts.

I think it'll be 16 songs. Simon behind the kit will probably allow for one additional song added than if it were still Nicko. Would be neat if it were IM, Phantom, NOTB, Hallowed, RTTH, Trooper, Fear and the other nine would be rarities, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think the factor that limits the number of songs played has been Bruce’s voice for quite a number of years.

But why a bold move, it or Phantom? Lyrics?
Yes, lyrics. I'm talking about Prowler. I don't think they would play it. Hope I'm wrong for this one.

I don't think they would do that. Also, I don't think they will play a full hits set. It will have at least 2-3 surprises. The "must play" hits are IM, Trooper, Number, Hallowed, Hills, Fear (only 6). Then there are songs like The Evil that men do, that might be played and they were played a lot in the past, but I think there will be room for 2-3 surprises.

Since forever I would say. Did they normally do shows longer than two hours even in the 80s?
Their shows got the longest in the 00's if I'm not mistaken (not including the odd warm-up gig which could sometimes go to 3 hours).

Some sets on the BNW tour went over 2 hours when they added that 2nd encore.

-5 songs from the first two albums, something from Killers which is not Wrathchild
5 songs! Wrathchild is probably certain.
-Take a grain of salt when Rod speaks, but he stated back in 2014 that 80s based tours are over, SO. At least two songs from the two 90s albums which is not the title track of FOTD
This new one has a 90's flavor, how much we'll see. 3 would be about right, at least 2 is probably certain.

It's possible with 16/17 songs (at least 8-9 hits) and if they don't play a SIT song (still possible though) and more than 4 early days songs. The set won't be ''all hits'', I believe in that. At least 3 deep cuts.
Iron Maiden
Number
Hallowed
Hills
Trooper
Fear

Phantom
Evil
2 Minutes
Rime (deep cut)
Killers (deep cut)
Wrathchild
Seventh Son (deep cut)
Clairvoyant/Infinite(!)/Moonchild/OTGDY(!)

Be Quick
Daughter (for example)

... even one more from the early days if they want (Prowler) and/or one more from POM/Powerslave (a deep cut; Still Life, Boots, Land).
Yes, lyrics. I'm talking about Prowler.
I see. But it's from the pub days and it's popular. If we look at the lyrics, then what about Daughter?
I think the factor that limits the number of songs played has been Bruce’s voice for quite a number of years.
If not the vocalist because of the material, who. Nicko since 2015. Their longer shows were in the 90's and early 2000's. The longer material also plays some role. In the 80's, the number of songs were usually shorter by a bit, when they were young.
