RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I resigned myself to the possibility of yet another instance of Aces Low happening as soon as I realized there really aren't any other opener choices that would have the desired impact on casual audiences. Hearing it used alongside RTTH and NOTB in radio ads furthered this belief. The only thing really speaking against it is that they already did it on LOTB in a way that's impossible to top, stage show wise.

Hoping that Aces High doesn't make it to the setlist, but the references to this one are growing.
I hope so too, but what references? Some believed Maiden would announce a LAD-themed tour for this year...

Aces High is probably the most popular opener for the band, but casual fans won't enjoy some early days songs? Prowler isn't impactful/energetic (in action) for an opener? Well, they opened with Senjutsu (different scenario, I know). Or Moonchild (not Aces, but), or the speed of Be Quick. Wrathchild can work too. Plus they always open with new album songs, let's not forget.
Radio playing is a hint now? They can't top the LOTB version of it, so. Better do Number or Trooper. I mean there's always a chance, but why repeat yourself so soon. And Bruce knows it's one of his toughest songs (and should only be played as an opener). Simon should play it good, right.

Maybe with a new drummer and as a show opener it sounds better. It was really awful in Legacy 2 as an encore. I still hope they open with Moonchild or even 666 or something, but Aces High seems more and more possible. Maybe they don't do 2 minutes, which is the hit I dislike, if they play Aces High. That's a positive for me at least.

I can already imagine the "stage production they've never done before" being some cool animations/visualizers for each song on a big screen instead of the usual backdrops. They kind of hinted at it in a couple of songs on The Future Past Tour (Prisoner, Alexander, Hell on Earth).
Maybe for Aces High being a Spitfire visualizer instead of an inflatable one... I don't think they would do it again, because it took time to remove it right at the beginning of the set (I guess that's why they played it in the second encore for the 2022 leg)

Yeah, for both statements, but it sounds like the production should be bigger than that - so multiple screens to be more impactful (and with light show). I can't think of anything different they could do (and in the metal world), Bruce solo is different. But visualizers for Aces High would be cool, no doubt.
TFP tour ones weren't that noticeable or animated videos.

Production should be a lot different than anything they've done so far.

Late last year, after the Future Past set of Funkos came out, they released two Mummy Eddies and (another) Pharaoh Eddie, presumably under the guise of the 40th Anniversary of Powerslave. Aces High Eddie was already announced before the end of 2024, and only went on sale officially this week as a Funko shop exclusive. So, I'm thinking it's still part of the 40th Anniversary set of releases, and not a setlist indicator.

I'm hoping that's what it is.

Aces high already opened 4 tours iirc? Come on, its time for be quick be the opener.
I loved Aces High as the opener on the tours I have seen it, but I would be disappointed if they didn’t try something different on this tour.

Murders in the Rue Morgue was great in 2005. I wouldn’t want it again but it would be good to try something different. Hell even the Trooper would be a cool opener. Gets it out of the way!

Murders or be Quick or be dead. Moonchild Was played in 2008 and 2012,so those are my bets

I think it’s gonna be Prowler. Maybe with Be Quick or Aces as the encore opener. Even though Prowler isn’t a big ol in your face classic opener, it makes sense. They’re going back to the beginning.

I think Invaders would be cool as an opener too. That would be a curveball that no one would expect. I think pretty much any song other than Aces I would be excited to open the show. Tailgunner would put a smile on my face.
