Clue #4: the title of this song is rather common. It was at least used by a band which has influenced Maiden (or at least with lots of musicians who have influenced Maiden) and one that has been influenced by them.

Clue #5: At some point of Maiden's history, none of the writers of this song were present in the band.
...which is just a smart-ass way of saying that it was not written by Steve Harris.
:D

Miles Dyson...

At first, I would have said "The Evil That Men Do", but there is a british garage band called North End that had written a song called "Miles Dyson"... North end could refer to the East End of London. So, the song to guess is maybe a song from the Jurassic Period.
However, I still think the song is an Adrian Smith / Bruce Dickinson track. Played during the time where the couple wasn't in the band anymore. But, what song it is, that's the question...

Hooks In You ?

Clue #7: Though Steve is not involved, the chorus of this song is pretty repetitive. No wonder it was used only as a B-side.

< from 1975 to 1990, Maiden was entirely Janick-free. Then, apart from between 1994 and late 1998, they have been Blaze-less.

< This is Miles Dyson from the film Terminator 2: Judgment (sic) Day. In this scene, after being hit by bullets, he gradually runs short of breath and dies. //
"As we exhale every breath
We all got closer to our death"

Clue 1:
The song lyrics mention one specific character that is made up. The lyrics also describe a few scenarios that - although unspecified - resemble very notable real-life events.
