Evening The Odds.
It will be hard - in some places all soaps etc. Were sold out and many are reselling them for 20x the priceLiterally the only thing the average person can do is wash their hands.

Any kind of soap works. Coronavirus has a lipid layer that dissolves in soap or alcohol, so even if you use dish soap or shampoo it's gone.It will be hard - in some places all soaps etc. Were sold out and many are reselling them for 20x the price![]()
I'm very angry about this. I'd like to get a couple of bottles of hand gel but crazy people have gone and stockpiled them. One person having twenty bottles of this won't stop the spread of the virus - it just means you'll have a lot of bottles you won't use or you'll have very clean (and dry) hands for six months. People who have health problems like asthma and suppressed immune systems need this more than crazy stockpilers but they can't get any. I'm also blaming the shops who have run out for not seeing this. When the virus began to spread they'd have known that the advice would have been to wash your hands. Sales should have been limited straight away to prevent stockpiling. It will be hard - in some places all soaps etc. Were sold out and many are reselling them for 20x the price![]()
Yeah, I can understand that. In Poland for weeks you can't but masks and hand sanitizers. My brother in law work in a company that is making those gells and they were sold out weeks ago.I'm very angry about this. I'm quite fussy about hand hygiene and I'm finding it quite stressful to be unable to get any hand gel. I do have one bottle from a while ago but I don't know if it's enough to kill viruses and it will run out soon enough.
Well, I'm buying things only when I'm running out of them so I guess I'm out of luckWhat's really frightening is that people don't keep hand soap at all times. I have a very large bottle at home that goes into my reusable container.
The masks are useless. They won't stop anyone getting infected and the panick-buying has stopped people who need them being able to get them.In Poland for weeks you can't buy masks
They are even buying out masks for construction workers (sorry, don't know the professional name) and selling them for 5x the price as "coronavirus mask" online. The masks are useless. They won't stop anyone getting infected and the panick-buying has stopped people who need them being able to get them.
We're up to 115 cases in the UK now. Exciting times.

Soap is very easy to make at home. Basically, all you need is fat/oil and lye.It will be hard - in some places all soaps etc. Were sold out and many are reselling them for 20x the price![]()
Ssssh, or people will start stockpiling lye...if they haven't alreadySoap is very easy to make at home. Basically, all you need is fat/oil and lye.

I'm not a fan of the panic buying or hysteria, but at the same time, as a person with asthma, I'm not thrilled about the prospect of getting a chest infection. We almost certainly would not get time off work if there was any kind of shutdown, as civil servants. I'm restricted to public transport or a two mile walk to work.
