Coronavirus

Italy has gone into full lockdown...

4 cases in my city. Some companies are now going fully remote.

In city where are live sanitary services have hundred calls from people that want to visit the high-risk regions in Germany and France, it's a matter of time when someone will be back with virus.

Some other funny news from Poland: woman is in hospital, under pharmacological coma because she's in serious condition. Her husband is working for local church and was giving communion till Monday. Her son is working in local McDonald's and was working there till yesterday. Today this location is closed and staff is under quarantine. It's jackpot for coronavirus.

22 cases in Poland, probably 1 death - no official confirmation but I have family close to this patient family, he was in Italy taking class for a football game and was hiding symptoms. I say this is 98% BS but if not - there will be a mess since his wife is working in school.

Coronavirus has officially been observed in Turkey, Minister of Health is currently making the speech confirming it. Add us to the list.

It was only a matter of time, as I previously said, it was difficult to buy that Turkey hadn't encountered coronavirus despite being surrounded by countries where cases of coronavirus had officially been reported.

Here's a hierarchy of my concerns:

1. I'm travelling to Berlin to write an exam. 41 hours until then, time enough for the government to announce a snap decision that universities are closed, meaning I'm doing the trip for nothing.
2. Staying with my parents, who are in a high risk group if I should infect them with the virus.
3. A decision to halt the return flight might be made while I'm there.
4. I might fail the exam. I'm tense and this Coronavirus thing and the uncertainties surrounding me don't really help.
5. I'm going to spend a lot of time at airports, on planes and on public transport in a city with 50+ cases and no efficient control, so there's a chance I might contract the virus.
Good luck mate!
Any chance the exam could be delayed/cancelled before you are flying? Can the uni or the government (or the source advising the government) be contacted about this? Perhaps they can estimate they will definitely (not) think the uni will be closed?

I realize there are more concerns. Hope you'll be fine.

edit:

Dutch Corona map:
382 cases. 4 died. Ages: 76, 82, 86, 86 (all men).

Currently 1 case in my town. A 23 year old student who had been in Northern Italy (discovered here on 29 February; she returned on 24 February, did not need to go to the hospital).

Still under a hundred in Canada, none in Ottawa.

The first British politician, Nadine Dorries, has been diagnosed and is now convalescing at home. She's a health minister and is supposed to be one of the people co-ordinating the battle against the damn virus. She's met with constituents, other ministers and civil servants in the Department of Health, her own staff, other MPs at parliament and the Prime Minister himself. What a bloody nightmare.

Thanks!
No, there is no information. As of now, everything is taking place. I'm fully expecting to hear about a snap decision when I land. Unfortunately, the Berlin administration is not the sort that you would rely on to make good decisions.
