The Final Frontier tour 2011:

1.Satellite 15... The Final Frontier
2.El Dorado
3.2 Minutes To Midnight
4.The Talisman
5.Coming Home
6.Dance Of Death
7.The Wicker Man
8.Phantom Of The Opera
9.The Number Of The Beast
10.When The Wild Wind Blows
11.The Evil That Men Do
12.Fear Of The Dark
13.Iron Maiden
Encore:

15.Hallowed Be Thy Name
16.Running Free

Not so much changes, because I like the original setlist.

No way in hell would Bruce pull that off live. The chorus is virtually impossible to sing without overdubbing.

I added this song, because I liked it from the first listen of the album... ;) But yeah it would be hard for Bruce, even in the studio version he struggled with it a bit !

Somewhere Back In Time tour 2008:

Intro: Transylvania/Churchill's Speech

1.Aces High
2.2 Minutes To Midnight
3.Wrathchild
4.The Trooper
5.Revelations
6.22 Acacia Avenue
7.Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
8.Children Of The Damned (or FOI)
9.Die With Your Boots On
10.Phantom Of The Opera
11.Powerslave
12.The Number Of The Beast
13.Iron Maiden
Encore:
14.Murders In The Rue Morgue
15.Run To The Hills
16.Hallowed Be Thy Name

-> Also, the setlist will include Drum Solo after POTO and Guitar Solo after Powerslave | In the middle of the set they can play Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)

With this changes the setlist covers all of the songs that has been played during the WS tour and I included the ones which Maiden have not released on video from the Live After Death '85 album...

For the 2009 leg of the tour, I will add more SIT songs like: CSIT, SIASL, WY and HCW

No.

Somewhere Back in Time should have been just Powerslave and Somewhere in Time played in their entirety.
In that case, they could've alternated songs. Something like:
  • Intro: Churchill's Speech
  1. "Aces High"
  2. "Caught Somewhere In Time"
  3. "2 Minutes To Midnight"
  4. "Sea of Madness"
  5. "Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)"
  6. "Heaven Can Wait"
  7. "Rime of the Ancient Mariner"
  8. "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner"
  9. "Powerslave"
  10. "Stranger In a Strange Land"
  11. "Flash of the Blade"
  12. "Alexander the Great"
  13. "Iron Maiden"
  1. "Back In the Village"
  2. "Deja-Vu"
  3. "The Duellists"
  4. "Wasted Years"

This would have been great. I kept out a couple songs to make room for classics.

1. Aces High
2. Two Minutes to Midnight
3. Sea of Madness
4. Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
5. Flash of the Blade
6. The Trooper
7. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
8. Powerslave
9. Stranger in a Strange Land
10. Heaven Can Wait
11. Hallowed Be Thy Name
12. Alexander the Great
13. Iron Maiden
--
14. Caught Somewhere in Time
15. Run to the Hills
16. Wasted Years

Haahaaa, Wrathchild isn't your favorite song :D I added it, because it was part of the songs that have been played during the WS tour !
What's worse than calling the tour "Somewhere Back In Time" and only playing the two most commonly-heard Somewhere In Time songs?

Calling the tour "Somewhere Back In Time" and playing no Somewhere In Time songs.

That tour was meant to be a re-creation of the WS tour, at least that was stated to be. Though, I think that the SIT tour should be re-created with the current line-up (on a hits tour or an anniversary tour) with the same stage set as the one from '86 and with a live album and DVD to be released from it... ;)

Somewhere Back in Time should have been just Powerslave and Somewhere in Time played in their entirety.
Bruce could have even changed the chorus of CSIT to "Some... where... back in tiiiiiiiiime!" I think I'd still prefer a 3-way split between POM, Powerslave and SIT though. They could still do the three "worlds" separately this way though:
  1. Where Eagles Dare
  2. Revelations
  3. The Trooper
  4. Aces High
  5. 2 Minutes To Midnight
  6. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
  7. Powerslave
  8. Caught Somewhere In Time
  9. Stranger In A Strange Land
  10. Heaven Can Wait
  11. Alexander The Great
  12. Hallowed Be Thy Name
  13. Iron Maiden
  14. Number of the Beast
  15. Run To The Hills
  16. Wasted Years

Okay, time for me to attempt a Somewhere Back In Time setlist of my own. Powerslave and Somewhere in Time are the focus, with a mix of both their respective tour setlists. Also, Fear of the Dark is out, of course. Anyway, there's 16 songs in the setlist, so let's get this rolling.

1: Caught Somewhere in Time
2: Wasted Years
3: 2 Minutes To Midnight
4: Wrathchild
5: 22 Acacia Avenue
6: Heaven Can Wait
7: Rime of the Ancient Mariner
8: Phantom of the Opera
9: The Number of the Beast
10: Stranger in a Strange Land
11: Alexander the Great
12: Hallowed Be Thy Name
13: Iron Maiden

14: Aces High
15: Powerslave
16: The Evil That Men Do

Somewhere Back in Time should have been a mix of both the Somewhere on Tour and Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour tours. This is what I'd get.

2. 2 Minutes to Midnight
3. The Evil That Men Do
4. Children of the Damned
5. Infinite Dreams
6. The Number of the Beast
7. Wasted Years
8. Can I Play with Madness
9. Heaven Can Wait
10. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
11. The Clairvoyant
12. Hallowed Be Thy Name
13. Iron Maiden
============
14. Moonchild
15. Run to the Hills
16. Sanctuary

Great set. I actually like Wrathchild.

AMOLAD tour 2007:

1.Different World
2.These Colours Don't Run
3.Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
4.2 Minutes To Midnight
5.The Trooper
6.Tailgunner
7.No More Lies
8.Run To The Hills
9.The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
10.Still Life
11.Fear Of The Dark
12.Iron Maiden
Encore:
13.Be Quick Or Be Dead
14.The Number Of The Beast
15.Hallowed Be Thy Name

With only 15 songs it is very hard not to omit the classics + the stuff from AMOLAD, and there is no much room left ! Although, the 2006 leg of the tour was great..:ok:

Why throwing out COTD which was a pretty rare song back then?

And why "Be Quick Or Be Dead"? It was a war themed set for the most part. What would it have to do with anything? It wouldn't have worked IMO. At all.

Maiden England 2014:

Original press release: "--this is likely to be the last time we will tour with a set list based on the ‘80s, and therefore the last time fans will EVER hear some of these songs played live. With this in mind, for the 2014 dates we plan to change the set list around a little, to make it more equally representative of the whole of the ‘80s period--"

Yet they replaced Afraid to Shoot Strangers (probably never played live again) with Revelations, which I absolutely love and it fitted very well there,
but it's already being played again
and The Clairvoyant with Wratchild, which just got played again last year... While Revelations was indeed a great addition, the latter was almost ridiculous, even though Wratchild seemed to work great right after Seventh Son.

But yeah, here we got:

1. Moonchild
2. Can I Play With Madness
3. The Prisoner
4. 2 Minutes to Midnight
5. Revelations
6. The Trooper
7. Phantom of the Opera
8. The Number of the Beast
9. Remember Tomorrow
10. Wasted Years
11. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
12. The Clairvoyant
13. Heaven Can Wait
14. Iron Maiden
15. Aces High
16. The Evil That Men Do
17. Prowler
