Is Rain on the Graves the new Heaven Can Wait?

As expected, the big festival gigs went ahead.

Oof

Edit: Regardless of the concept's validity or lack thereof... The least they could do is actually hit the right notes. The post-solo section is incredibly painful.

Wow, I have to be honest: That sounds awful. Both the choir and Bruce.

But on the other hand, I am impressed that he was even accepted as co-headliner of festivals. Sure, he is the singer of Iron Maiden, but he is not Iron Maiden and it would have been possible that noone is intersted in his solo music after all that time.

I have an impression he still has a cold.
He took anti-biotics for five days. Said so in an interview with the Swedish National Radio, but said he’s feeling good now. Re DorotheaMe: Bruce isn’t co-headlining Sweden Rock. He played a slot on the main stage though, but far from headlining.

:scared: I am a nurse and antibiotics are not suitable for viral infections.

Do you think he has good doctors, medical advice? I saw someone wrote here yes he is a cancer survivor but I don't see what hes cancer specialists have to do with healing a viral infection.

Maybe he took anti-viral medicine, but got the terms confused?

Great idea to add Choir, especially to emulate the awesome sound of organ in studio version, but Choir sound terrible they aren’t even in sync with Bruce, who also sounds terrible.

EDIT: Speaking of sync it would be nice to get video -live performance sync, but no.

Yes, maybe. But Tamiflu for example would have to be given on day 1 or 2 of the infection.
But we don't know what exactly was diagnosed and what exactly he took. Maybe everything is fine.

On the other hand, everything that was published so far regarding the illness sounds so unprofessional.

Bruce, what are you doing? o_O

I have an impression he still has a cold.
No wonder?

Tears sounds fine. You can tell it isn't effortless as earlier in the tour and he's struggling a bit with the chrous, but he's seemingly still recovering. He will be a few days further into it when I see him in Stockholm on Tuesday.

Watching Bruce's concert in London O2 forum. Man, the band is on fire. Bruce, even with a runny nose, is enthusiastic and gives his 100% This whole band deserves so much more. Arenas and grand stage set. Very strong incarnation of Bruce's solo project.

That was surprising. I don't think it works well, it certainly fits the vibe of the song, but one thing they could do for Rain is make the keyboards more prominent live. We will see how it will be in the official release.

Bruce can (and should) be criticized for a lot of things and he is a businessman thoroughly, but I think he seemed genuinely impressed and moved by the warm reception around the resurrection of his solo efforts, both the album release and this tour. In that sense, sync issues and Bruce's current (getting better though?) condition aside, I think getting the choir on stage was a really nice gesture. :)

They have a fucking keyboard player for that!!!!

Yes I know, yet the idea wasn't bad. If the Choir was inside key and better arranged that could have given us an ultra dramatic effect instead of that farce.

Those backing vocals made me miss Steve Harris.

Hahaha I thought the same, I suddenly had an instant strong nostalgia for Harris, his ooooh-oooohs and slow intros -outros at 3/4, simplified lyrics, self copying melodies, all of that :D @harrisdevot

The final chorus of that song is one of my favourite moments from his catalogue
For me too.
New videos of Bruce Dickinson and his solo band playing at Mystic Festival (Poland).

I know it's easy for his voice, especially since he's still not 100% fit, but is Faith that popular song. There are better live songs from this album or the other albums (2 songs from the debut album for sure, and that's surprising tbh, more from AOB, the other gems from TOS). Is Navigate not ''fitting'' for festivals?

Bruce having fun introducing Faith:

I'm not surprised at all. Bruce as a vocalist and his solo career are much loved. The band deserves to play big shows. Killer band!

Agreed.

Yes, he said that in an interview and it sounded honest to me, not just a hollow phrase.
