Surprised my rating for Powerslave didn't change at all. More surprised that it was rated as highly in 2011, because I feel I appreciate it much more now. Then again I've always been a big fan. That album holds many special memories.

This is pretty consistent with my normal rankings. The only real outlier is the X Factor, which I usually have sandwiched between Killers and Number of the Beast, however my rankings on Look For the Truth and 2 AM really brought the average down because I just think those two songs are absolutely abysmal. If I don't listen to those two songs, then the album is much more enjoyable.

There are a couple songs that boost Fear's average rating, but as a whole I would still give it a 4. The good songs are way too few and far between.

Pleased with the way the rankings came about. Pretty much identical to my actual album rankings, though with the inclusion of criteria such as the order of the tracks, flow and length of the album, 6th to 9th would be even more neck and neck for me. TBoS and self titled, too.

Once again, Seventh Son and Somewhere In Time are extremely close. I would say that is representative of my actual opinions on the album. Some days I prefer SSOASS, some days I prefer SIT. They might as well be tied.

Including bonus tracks doesn't really exist in my head, to by honest; so you can scrap the second list. The alternative list is the truncated averages of each album; being the average with both top & bottom rated tracks excluded. I used the truncated average in the first instance to place VXI above NPftD; using 8.17 & 8.13 respectively. Looking at the order also changes the order of two other pairs:

Hmm, interesting. I'll also make such an alternative list, but I do not find it as important as the first, because excluding songs from an album is not what this is about, is it? Then we would rank incomplete (or compressed / shrunken / fil in your favourite term here ;-) ) albums.
