2017 Tour Announcement on Friday!

For this reason:

We can't do that with paperless tickets. I understand that it prevents ticket touts and is good for the environment but I like to keep the tickets. It would be nice if we got some sort of ticket-like souvenir with this system rather than just have the boring order confirmation. We do pay more than enough for a ticket after all...

I'm sure they'll come up with something....like a laminated version if you want to pay £10 extra:innocent:

I'm OK with paperless tickets, and I'm OK taking my credit card to the gig. And I'm looking forward to the announcement of the tour as it has been announced today that they will announce the tour dates on Friday.

Paperless. Paper. I don't care if it's on toilet paper, when does this mean they will be back in North America ? If May is taken up with Euro dates, maybe June and July in the states and Canada for a shed tour ?

So the rumors were true.. Crossing my fingers for US dates, unless I missed something and they're not going next year.

They are. Bruce had been dropping hints throughout the US leg of the tour, and there are rumors going around of a Late June/July shed tour.

They're not going to reveal a US tour on Friday though. They specifically said UK. I don't expect anything US related until at least December.

The UK's definitely due for a tour -- North America and LATAM got our fair share this year (no offense to any who missed it).

As much as I'd like to see Maiden again in the US or Canada next year, I'd gladly wait if they decide to do a new studio album instead. I suspect that we'll have less than a 5 year wait for the next album.

2 years between albums is reasonable if they have the material.
They are coming back to the US next year, but not until mid-late summer or early autumn

I think the next album will be less than 4 years, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do a greatest hits tour first. Maybe something on a smaller scale like 2005.

I hope not... I'd rather not have more of their precious ever-dwindling time used up on another hit parade setlist.

Now, if they want to go out and try Nicko's "songs we've never played live before" idea, that's a different story... :D

Following these tour news knowing that I probably won't see Maiden next year is a bit depressing, but I'm happy for you guys who will finally get a proper UK tour. I still have some hope for a few South America shows next year... Hope springs eternal I guess.

9 shows in the US or whatever it was, is not nearly enough to be considered a fair share. I'll take anything they do on the west coast though.

10 dates is a relatively short run but they managed to spread it out so fans could travel to shows, especially on the West Coast we were well taken care of.

They might save the shed tour for a classics set list.
