2017 Tour Announcement on Friday!

10 dates is a relatively short run but they managed to spread it out so fans could travel to shows, especially on the West Coast we were well taken care of.

They might save the shed tour for a classics set list.
Indeed we were spoiled. But if I got to see them once next year I would be satisfied.

Personally, I think paperless tickets are superior. I fucking despise scalpers.

Me too, I think it should be the norm nowadays.

Only time I've done paperless was a Metallica charity gig at the O2 when Death Magnetic came out. Tickets were £5 or something ridiculous. It was easy to get in and the atmosphere was brilliant as the place was packed with fans.

The way I read the announcement, they haven't said they'd be doing paperless for the rest of Europe. Rod specifically addressed the problem in the UK, and I have to say, I have seen some bad examples of scalping here, especially in sport and with the bigger name bands and pop stars. Manchester seems to be crawling with ticket touts whenever I've been to a gig there.

ONE OF US. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.
At least I get another tee out of it. It's a renewal.

They are. Bruce had been dropping hints throughout the US leg of the tour, and there are rumors going around of a Late June/July shed tour.

oh man, i hope that they don't play outdoor venues in the US. i hate those suburban sheds. gimme an indoor venue in a city.

Oh man I love the sheds!! As much as I loved the Vegas show at Mandalay bay, being out on a lawn with the California sunset?? then rocking out to the lads all night under the stars? Boom! Makes all the rest of life worth living. (Come to think of it, what is all this other stuff for anyway:D??). Can't wait for the news!!:yey:

maybe it's because i go to shed shows in the mid-west instead of the west coast. lol. although my last maiden show was at the forum in los angeles (great fucking indoor venue by the way. like a bigger version of the hampton colisuem in virginia). the only great outdoor venue in the midwest is Blossom outside of Cleveland. that place is incredible other than being in the middle of nowhere with limited hotel options. either way, i'm pumped.

Don't worry, sheds are lame on the west coast too. Was so glad they decided to do arenas this time.

Yeah, I really loathe sheds. Although, now that I'm a FC member it should be better as I could probably get a decent seat. Lawns are my nightmare for a concert (unless I don't care about the artist).

The only disadvantage to the lawn obviously is the distance to the stage. It also depends on the fan I suppose too. I like the freedom and the atmosphere of the lawn. Also the mobility aspect. Seats/chairs should be banned at rock concerts in my opinion. I mean.. Really?

To each there own I guess. But in my experience, around 30 maiden shows, the best times have been outdoors. Again, I'll take what I can get and will be damn thrilled to hit arenas in 2017 if that's the case!!

my experience with lawns are relegated mostly to Phish concerts, which are filled with talkers and stupid hippies so that might be my problem. lol.

Lawns are a lose lose thing here. Either you aee on the lawn and can barely see the band or you're in seats hoping you don't get hit with a patch of grass.

the detroit show from this past tour was not only my first maiden show, but my first metal show (if i don't count seeing Horseburner at a local club). having plastic bottles thrown at me because i refused to sit down during maiden was an odd experience, so i found a section where everybody was standing up and, you know, having a good fucking time.

People blow my mind sometimes. Each to their own but my mind was well and truly blown when I got many dirty looks and mild shoves from a young couple at a Maiden gig one time because I was, you know, having a good fucking time. I was 4 rows from the front in the middle of the stage!! Fuckin odd balls. If they were my pets, I would of had them put down for such scandalous behaviour.

It's not until next year but I have to renew next time around. I always tell myself I don't need to be a member anymore once the re-subscription comes up - which has left me with three welcome packages so far :p Anybody need a Steve replica bass pin? :p

In February I was on the floor a few rows from the stage and had an incredible time for book of souls, in the arena. But the few gigs at the forum in LA I've attended was in a friggin seat. Cannot stand it.
You always have a turd asking you to sit (no way that's happening) . So we usually end up roaming and getting hassled by the ushers for standing in the exits or wherever. It blows. So yah it's outdoor venues all the way for me. An occasional object gets tossed. A mini Bon fire consisting of toxic fume enducingg plastics are lit. So what. It ain church.
The experience of the community of like minded, head banging metal heads doing what we do is part of the Maiden experience.
as long as it remains civil it's all good. ... The maiden fan is a respectful one, for the most part. I can't speak for all acts, but at maiden shows, on the lawn, it is family!

I've only been asked to sit once. That was in Seattle in 2012. The person who told me to sit left during CIPWM because they were so hurt everyone was standing.

i was only at night 2 of the forum this year, but my seat was 8 rows off of the floor directly up from the janick's side of the stage. every single person was standing and rocking out at that show (in my section at least). i am going to make sure that i'm on the floor at every show going forward though.
