Maybe. I expect an epic stage costume from him.Wil Bruce be wearing a leather jacket with neon glow sticks taped to it?

I think they will open with CSiT and I have nothing against slower speed or slightly simplified drumbeats. They might be stubborn enough to do it, judging by them closing with Aces High this year. And Steve's statement seems to indicate, they will start the set with SiT stuff. It's a no-brainer actually - it's better to kick it off with a new, futuristic stage design than one we've already seen.
SiaSL, Wasted Years and AtG will be played 100%. CSiT is very likely. Then it's either Sea of Madness or Heaven Can Wait. If they decide to premiere another track aside from Alexander, then my bet is Deja Vu.
For the new Senjutsu songs, I predict The Time Machine, The Parchment and Hell on Earth. If the name of the tour didn't hint at Days of Future Past, I wouldn't consider it, but now it seems possible. And if you ask me, I would love all 3 previously played tracks to return. Especially Stratego and TWotW. Fingers crossed.
I think we are more likely to get wrathchild than futureal as the short rocker to break up the longer epics lolI'd say that starting SiT tunes is almost a given. Maiden like to mix things up a bit from tour to tour (thematically, if not so much in the songs played department), and since they've recently started with Senjutsu songs, they'll come out of the gate with SiT songs to start the set.
Time Machine has a live classic written all over it - great, sing along chorus. Dancey breakdown bits, guitar melodies that the audience can hum along to. Of the songs from Senjutsu that I wouldn't mind seeing dropped: Title Track for sure. It has a great heavy gallop, moves along rather nicely, and is a great atmospheric song. It DEFINITELY comes off better on the album though, IMHO. Its not the most melodic or catchy Maiden number (two factors which most of the Maiden concert staples have in spades), and it carries on for quite some time (and thus takes setlist space from other songs).
Without even thinking on it, I'm going to give another hard yes to Futureal! Please play this one!! Anyone who follows the Blaze Bayley live clips on YouTube knows that his audience goes apeshit when the brings this one out. Its energetic, has great guitar runs, a great solo (that won't strain Bruce very much), and its a short song that will work well in the middle of several longer epics -- there's every reason to play this one and almost no reasons to leave it on the shelf.
Maiden mgmt - are you reading this? PLEAESE PAY FUTUREAL !!!!
It just seems too unorthodox for a band that has been repeating certain patterns for decades. They opened previous history and album tours with respective openers and there were very few exceptions. They may play DoFP but I don’t see them opening with it. Who knows, though, maybe I’ll be surprised. The concept of this tour and AtG live premiere are already two new things for Maiden. The futuristic stage design should suggest that CSIT will be the opener, but why not DOFP? Another new song, inspired the name of the tour, fast short rocker... and it fits the theme of SIT.
I'm really up for that! Maybe it's just me but I think Futureal is an amazing opening song! And yes, it would greatly fit the theme!I don't think it will happen but Futureal would actually be nice and it makes sense.
Steve will need a psychological therapist with him on tour. So many new things might otherwise be hard to handle for him.The concept of this tour and AtG live premiere are already two new things for Maiden.
I'm with the consensus in that it's probably Quest for Fire.Which one would call their worst 80's song?
Tame is an awesome song!I'm with the consensus in that it's probably Quest for Fire.
However, I'm going be super controversial and throw To Tame a Land into the worst 80's song debate.
I think it's fkking boring.
QFF is actually one of my favorites on POM, but I agree as far as TTAL is concerned. Folks love to harp on the lyrics of Alexander, but TTAL is just as bad.I'm with the consensus in that it's probably Quest for Fire.

Disagree on To Tame a Land, but different strokes and so on.I'm with the consensus in that it's probably Quest for Fire.

Haha not the greatest Bruce costume but he had some dodgy ones during the 80's by his own admissionWil Bruce be wearing a leather jacket with neon glow sticks taped to it?![]()
Was thinking that myself. Theres every chance as it was played SOTWhile there is speculation around the SIT/Senjutsu songs, I personally hope they pull Phantom out and use it as a surprise classic
They did Acacia Avenue in 2004 tho.Children of the Damned, 22 Acacia Avenue, The Prisoner, To Tame a Land, Flight of Icarus… The list of songs from the first four albums that were not played live in 2005 and are miles better than Another Life is pretty long.
