Your Maiden blasphemy

i partly agree with the ATSS observation. But im sure theres something else there 0:46-1:20 the tune immediately reminded me of something non-maiden but ever since 16th August ive not been able to put my finger on it. Just something about that part thats REALLY recognisable. I love it and im not trying to make it seem like some sort of plaigiarism but anyway

Hmmm, I can't say I've heard anything very similar, neither by Maiden nor by someone else - but I'm no music encyclopedia, so it might just have passed me by.

Maybe it's the beat. One of our musicians may be able to tell you more about it.

That's because of the chord progression. Very common in Maiden songs

I used to prefer No Prayer For the Dying to 7th Son!!

By 1992, I much preferred 7th Son...and still do.  I like NPFTD, though.

brighter than a thousand suns may be maidens best song

That's not blasphemy, that's a defendable preference. Now if you had said "Weekend Warrior," well, THAT would be blasphemy.

Here's some updated blasphemy - the best songs from the Paul era were the instrumentals. Discuss.

Are you saying that he is a bad singer? If not I guess that's just opinion. Genghis Khan is quite a monster.

Not exactly. He's not my favorite - I think his voice (especially on the first album) was mismatched to the songs (better on Killers, though). I just think that in terms of their highlights for me, songs like Genghis outshine any song with Paul's vocals. That's all I'm saying!  :innocent:

I'm sure I've posted this before but I'm too lazy to check-

My least favorite song on Piece of Mind is actually Die With Your Boots On

Not my least favorite (That goes to Quest For Fire) But it is in the bottom half for me. Not that it's a bad thing. The only "bad" song imo is QFF.

I agree, with Sun and Steel being average, and DWYBO being slightly above average. The other 6 are all just incredible! :)

I used to love Boots. But lately it's been meh. And the others are incredible.

Here are mine ranking of POM songs:

1. Revelations
2. The Trooper
3. Where Eagles Dare
4. Flight Of Icarus
5. To Tame A Land
6. Die With Your Boots On
7. Sun And Steel
8. Still Life
9. Quest For Fire

This looks like I mesmerized Still Life, but I didn't. Every song on POM is awesome!  :)

Paschendale is a good song but overrated. My guilty pleasure would have to be Quest for Fire. Piece of Mind is by far and away my favourite Maiden album and I love every song on there. As for the worst maiden song, has to be The Apparition. Hands down.
