Your Maiden blasphemy

I find the album seventhh son of a seventh son extremely over rated,

Moonchild - Average opener, well below the wicker man, aces high etc
Infinite dreams - Pretty good song with a few nice melodies but kinda boring
Can i play with madness - Catchy but so are genital warts
Evil that men do - Very good song but still not a top 20
SOASS - Slightly better than TTAL but slightly worse than ROTAM which is a shame because this had so much potential
The prophecy - Solid intro and outro but everything in between borders on boring
The clairvoyant - Pretty good song but the chorus ruins it for me
OTGDY - This song should have been made into something bigger and better. The song died too young

I also find the albums production to be a bit too distant. Nothing seems loud or in your face or punchy or raw like NOTB or POM or Powerslave.

I just thought of a blasphemy - although Starblind is growing on me slowly, its still one of my least faves from TFF. IOA is moving up and it would be ranked around the middle now.

and i dont think i have any massive blasphemies... i do think phantom of the opera is hugely overrated and still cant get into WTWWB... its. just. too. slow. and i dont think it sounds much like a maiden song, not too mention it not really matching the rest of the album.    That sounds kinda harsh read back      and it annoys me that im sure ive heard the intro somewhere (before TFF).

Oh and few agree with my view that The Legacy could be the best song on AMOLAD (and top 10 before certain TFF songs came and raped those slots)

- Wildest Dreams is a good song in studio (not live)
- When The Wild Wind Blows is overrated
- Phantom Of The Opera is overrated
- Virtual XI is a pretty good album and it's better than The X Factor
- Paschendale sucks
- Brighter Than a Thousand Suns sucks
- Isle Of Avalon sucks
- Starblind is far too weird to be good = sucks
- Blaze sucked
- Mother Russia sucks
- Childhood's End and Chains Of Misery are good songs
- Revelations is a boring song
- Strange World is strange
- Dream Of Mirrors and Mercenary suck
- Powerslave is a good song but the slow section sucks

First of all, you may not like them, but saying they suck is too agressive.

In my opinion :

- Wildest Dreams is maybe the worst off Dance of Death and is below average.
- When the Wild Wind Blows is overrated but that doesn't mean it is a bad song or something, it is very good.
- Phantom of the Opera is just a masterpiece.
- Virtual XI is a great album, not better than The X Factor but is great.
- Paschendale is a masterpiece.
- Brighter Than a Thousand Suns is fantastic.
- Isle of Avalon is great song but somewhat overrated.
- Starblind is a masterpiece and is not weird is just complicated and hard to understand.
- Blaze is a great singer.
- Mother Russia is an OK song.
- Childhood's End is a good song, Chains of Misery is average.
- Revelations is fantastic.
- Strange World is not strange, it's first solo is one of my favorite Maiden moments.
- Dream of Mirrors and The Mercenary are neither great nor suck.
- Powerslave's middle section is one of the finest Maiden moments.

I agree with you on all, except Dream of Mirrors is amazing for me.

In another Maiden song? I can hear a slight similarity to Blood Brothers and For The Greater Good Of God, but there are other parts of the song that remind me more of older Maiden songs:

As pointed out earlier, I think the part from 9:03 to 9:26 reminds of 5:42 to 6:06 in Afraid To Shoot Strangers.

- Strange World is utterly under-rated. Perhaps my 2nd favorite on debut.
- I don't find anything great in Afraid To Shoot Strangers.
- The title track from BNW is easily my 2nd least favorite from that album.

Indeed, it was. The post was 'a bit' provocative  To be honest, Maiden doesn't have any bad sangs, only ''meh" -ones (imo)

But that is only my opinion  I don't like some Maiden songs but there are loads of songs I do love (Talisman, Dance Of Death, Legacy, Pilgrim.. I think I'm Janick Gers fan  )

i partly agree with the ATSS observation. But im sure theres something else there 0:46-1:20 the tune immediately reminded me of something non-maiden but ever since 16th August ive not been able to put my finger on it. Just something about that part thats REALLY recognisable. I love it and im not trying to make it seem like some sort of plaigiarism but anyway

I do love (Talisman, Dance Of Death, Legacy, Pilgrim.. I think I'm Janick Gers fan  )
