Whoa, whoa! I need to do this?! Okay, fine. But no stupid math for me. I literally had am
math test in school yesterday!
Hmm...I say 64%.
 
I thought this would be just another survivor. I'm not interested in taking part in a competition. Had I known it was a competition, I would have stayed out of it.
I'll still post a number of songs since I'm already in it, but you shouldn't have kept that part secret. 84 unique songs, I'm not changing anything on my list.

Does this mean that 4 songs (at most) from everyone's individual list are (eventually) allowed to take part in the game?

I understand there's an urge for limitation, but still a pity when I think of all the unique songs that people have carefully selected. I am not talking about the content of my list but I can say that I did very much my best to have many unique songs in it.

It was always a plan to include just 4 songs per person, extended lists were made because of duplicates.

Iryo, however, I promise it won't take away from the true nature of the game which is to pick the best song :)
 
65 unique songs as a wild stab in the dark, and because I think someone's already said 42, which would be my number of choice. Please, no more maths or twists in the plot!:ahhh:

Maybe I'm missing something in the rules and you have already thought about that, so if that's the case, I'm sorry. But how are you going to guarantee that people will be voting objectively for the song they like better and not for the song they have on their "team", just so they could win?
 
Well, I can't guarantee it. But even without the user competition, it's expected that everyone would be rooting for their own songs. However, everyone has just one vote... it can't change that much. Only if someone's songs always win 6-5 for example, with that person's vote always being the 6th.
 
Okay, maybe it will work. But from what I'm seeing now, this isn't a survivor, it's Football Manager for songs.

That's right, it's not a Survivor (never really was), and it is indeed taken in part from fantasy football ideas.

NP wanted to run a game where 16 people pick 4 epics each for a 64-song knockout. But he knew if he asked for lists, he'd get duplicates. NP, Mosh and myself brainstormed in the chat, trying to find a way to fairly distribute the duplicated selections. This is what we came up with, and because it's a new idea we're finding our way as we move through the game.
 
I think knowing that at the outset might have made people choose differently. I still plan to vote on song preference rather than any strategy.
