The Future Past tour 2023

The question I've always had since the BoS tour ended and the LotB tour began is: Will we ever see an Ed Force One again?

I know Bruce has said he won't fly it anymore, but there's still a chance we'll see another reincarnation of the famous plane. Will it be a Boeing 747? I doubt it. Wil they use a 737 for the Future Past tour? I don't know. It's kind of a unique tour as it is an album tour with a twist. Gives me real SBiT vibes with the addition of the SiT songs (as in an old tour for new fans) instead of a full album tour like BoS or Final Frontier for example. So maybe they'll change things up from their current LotB tour and get a plane next year?

I can easily see them doing it during their farewell tour (if there ever is one). However, it would be great to see an Ed Force One with Future Past art on it!

No Ed Force One anymore. For two reasons : 1) Bruce is too old to fly now and don't have the authorization anymore to fly by the civil aviation, 2) with the fuel prices growing, this way of traveling is too expensive now for the band. ;)

Anyone know if these will be available for the Future Past tour tickets on Thursday?
I can only see 2 ticket options for the show in Amsterdam (standard ticket and VIP package) but I can't find anything about these collector tickets (yet)?

The girl (sorry I don't know names) in the video makes a really good point at around 7:55.

A full-fledged Senjutsu tour wouldn't feel 'new' at this point. With the Book of Souls tour, for example, everything felt so new. From the very first concert. New stage, new setlist, new merchandise. Everyone was in awe on what songs they were going to play and what the satge would look like this time around. There's no big new reveal this time around as we've already seen the Japanese theme during the LotB tour in 2022.

With the Future Past tour as a hybrid tour I feel like there's so many new surprises. What will the stage look like now that they're including SiT? What will the setlist look like? What kind of merchandise will we get (as in shirts mostly)? Will there be any props used (like the flamethrowers during the LotB tour)? What will Eddie look like, samurai, cyborg or a mix of the two worlds? It's still not the same as a full-fledged album tour but it's WAY better than what most of us were afraid of.

I think Iron Maiden did very well coming up with this tour! As much as I wanted a Senjutsu album tour, I am a million percent more hyped for this tour! Maybe if covid hadn't gone on we could have seen a Senjutsu tour like we had the BoS tour.

Maybe, if we're lucky (and I pray we are) we'll get an 18th album someday and we can have another full album tour! Until then, I am very happy with what they are doing now!

rod said epics.....im starting to think that the set list Will be
caught somewhere in time
wasted years
heaven can wait
Alexander the great
stranger in a stranger land
writting on the wall
hell on earth
death of the celth
time machine
Lost in a lost World or days of future past
and 4 more clásics

The Parchment > Death of the Celts

Maybe it's just me, but I like Parchment better. And it's either going to be Writing on the Wall or Stratego. And my vote goes to Days of Future Past over Lost in a Lost World (it's literally in the tour name so ....)

As for classics my vote goes to 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Trooper, Number of the Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Iron Maiden and Fear of the Dark. I'd love to see Futureal as well (maybe as opening song) but I doubt it.

There is a chance the setlist for this tour to be without the title track of both albums - I doubt, but let's also not forget the name of the tour.

They have to drop Senjutsu (or at least Stratego or both) if they want to play more new songs and they can replace CSIT with Sea Of Madness (but ATG and HCW should be in the setlist for this). Maybe the contrast in the drumming in both songs will be the deciding factor. Nicko's drumming is brutal in the SIT album. I've always thought that if they didn't play CSIT in 2008, they probably never will, but this tour is even more fitting, especially with the stage set.

Oh damn they're cool! Just checked ticketmaster Poland and they look great! I'm hoping they will be available for more countries as well!

Thanks for sharing!
Just got an email back from ticketmaster.nl (Netherlands) and unfortunately there will be no collector's tickets for the show in Amsterdam. So I imagine they also won't be available for the show in Antwerp (Belgium) as they're not on that website either.

Really makes me wonder why they are available for certain countries and not for others?

Based on the speculation online, I guess no one expects them to play Darkest Hour? It's a very slow song and not quite as catchy as some of the other ballads like Coming Home so I get why people may not consider it a very good live song. But I think Bruce's vocals are phenomenal and the solos are some of the best ever. I think the song has great potential.
