The Future Past tour 2023

I honestly think Where Eagles Dare and Aces High might never make it into a setlist again. They aren't getting easier and they've had plenty of chances over the years, especially AH.

Hopefully there'll be some German dates as well. The fact that fricking Wacken was the first date worries me, since it happened before that Wacken was the only German date.

Since BNW all Gers/Harris songs with acoustic guitars have made it into the set. I'm 100% sure that The Time Machine will be played as well.

I suspect the rest of the European dates might be festivals, and they will be announced directly by those festivals.
They will surely do some festivals, but expect more indoor shows to be announced

Rod: Of course, for a new album tour in Europe and the UK we will go back largely to the relative intimacy of arenas and we know fans will be very happy about that too!”

Where Eagles Dare I think has definitely reached permanent retirement. Hell, I was surprised they even dug it out in 2018 to begin with.

The only way I think Aces High makes a return is if they do a farewell greatest hits tour or if the next album's got an aviation theme to it.

Backdrop thought.

If we do get ATG we'll have to endure the sight of Eddie with blonde hair, wearing a toga while riding an elephant.
Not quite.
I hope they record EVERY single show and compensate the lack of material from the original tour we have (or better: we have not) yet with a multiple-version release of all the SIT-jewels they play on that tour.
The whole point of this hybrid tour is because of that.
I am happy they are doing this. it's been a long time coming. I am excited for the merch too. It is probably the most excited I have been for a tour from them in some time. I have been on many tours and still, nothing beats the first time I saw them in 2000 on BNW tour. I was a kid, had only known about them for about 3 years but it was Somewhere in Time that I picked up first and drew me to them. Still my favorite album in music, period. I'm excited, what can I say.
We are all excited. The merch for this tour should be great. Btw, I really wanted a SIT song in the BNW tour setlist - it would have been thematic... the title track, SIASL or Deja-Vu.
My conspiracy theory is that they named it future past tour to avoid playing the time machine
The name of the tour is perfectly connected to The Time Machine.
I know it probably won't happen, but given the theme of the tour, the song "When Two Worlds Collide" would be pretty neat!
I agree. Nicko likes this song. After ATG, the song I want the most to be played (live again) is Out Of The Silent Planet, but the chances are slim.

I just hope they dare to go about as far as they did on the original tour in terms of designing the stage.
I'm sure the stage will be epic (maybe more than the one for LOTB tour).

It will be interesting if they will have a BIG light show (I think so) like the original SIT tour (with neon lights, billboards - maybe for the intro of the tour again) or even a space ship and hydraulic stands again lol. I do expect lots of pyro, inflatable props and at least 3 Eddies on stage.

And in reality we will get the same old stage layout with modified curtains and backdrops :D

For Download they typically sign a contract which limit or exclude other appearances in UK. Logically same pattern could apply for Wacken.
