The Future Past tour 2023

I figured I'd wait until my shows to judge how it actually is. Chicago's generally a pretty receptive crowd for Maiden, but Senjutsu went over like a fart.
From the various performances I saw video of I thought Senjutsu sounded great. But they probably should have opened with Stratego instead because it's an up tempo song and played Senjutsu after TWOTW.

Based on how long the change over was from the "Senjutsu world" my guess it would have been too much trouble to set it up during the show opposed to before it. That's why we got all the new songs first.

Unfortunately beyond their control. I really do feel for the Australia/NZ fans. Hopefully in 2024 they will make it down there.

I normally don't have the luxury of traveling just for concerts, TBOS tour being an exception. I went through a rough patch where it was 16 years between Maiden shows and 20 years with Bruce in the band.
I honestly think there days of doing big extensive tours are done, and this only hurts there more secondary markets. It did take them 15 years to get back there and that was mainly possible with the whole 'ed force one' thing. Bit more uncertain now thats over with.
Not saying they won't find a way to eventually get back but it doesnt seem a priority especially with an extensive North and South American tour next year . You be looking at your typical 30-35 shows over a 4 month span which is what they seem comfortable with doing now and a downunder leg tagged onto that is unlikely.

Any different stage design would be welcome, but they will be limited using there same typical boxed in design. I wish they would do away with that and try something new
I like the boxed in design. I've always preferred club gigs, what Metallica is doing isn't really for me. I want the full band in front of me, not scattered across a stadium with little to no interaction. Maiden have stayed true to their origin. The No Prayer on the Road stage setup might be my all time favourite setup by the band!

I doubt it, but who knows. It won't be surprising. It depends on how much stuff Steve wants to recreate from the 1986 tour.
I would say it's possible. They did faithful recreations of the World Slavery and Seventh Tour stage shows. The swerve here is the hybrid aspect with Senjutsu. All shall be revealed tomorrow...

my biggest concern is the guitar tone on SIT songs. I have heard various bands play SIT songs well but without that GK guitar tone, they sound awful and have yet to see anyone other than 1 guy in Ireland get close to replicating that sound. I hope they have found a way as most of those songs wouldn't work well with other equipment.
I don't think they will ever be able to replicate the album sound live properly enough. The songs sounded great in 1986 though.

Something tells me that this tour could even be even shorter, maybe 14 songs with the amount of epics packed in. Look at Book of Souls that got cut back to 15 songs with Red and the Black. We’re looking at two songs that exceed the ten minute mark, plus several eight minute tracks. I’d love to be wrong and they push the shorties enough to take it up ti 16, but something tells me this could be a 14 song set that’s absolutely packed!
The number of the longer songs could be like on TBOS tour (6/7). I think 15 is the minimum. But I can see a short song like CIPWM added as the 16th song.
