I preordered from Amazon but my delux edition will only ship on the 4th. By the time i get the package it will be two week minimum. So itunes will have to do until then.

Waiting for the album got me revisiting Brave New World and AMOLAD. Today I was listening to Fallen Angel and Mercenary and simply admiring Bruce's voice and the guitar work from the three. Although the songs are relatively short still they have everything from blisterimg solos to guitar harmonies. I especially liked the backing rythm guitar in the solo of Fallen Angel. Recommending all you guys to revisit these two less apprecitated songs from BNW.

Jadukor, I absolutely love those 2 songs. It's too bad they didn't do The Fallen Angel live except the one time.
The Fallen Angel was played at least 9 times: In Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Saint-Etienne (France), Munich (Germany), 2 times in London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, in Mexico and in Argentina.

Outside of the Silent Planet: 4 times. 2 times in London, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, once in Mexico and once in Argentina.

I was lucky enough to see Maiden @ The Earl's Court in London 2001 (16th of June if I remember correctly). I think it was the first show with Bruce in UK after his return.

EDIT: Or was it 2000?!! Yes, I think it was 16th on June 2000.

Oh wow. I forgot they did those more than once.

I saw Maiden here in 2000 as well. They haven't been back since!

I lived in UK back in the day. I remember all the hype after Bruce's return. I knew this girl from HMV and I got to hear BNW a week before it was released.

PS: But I think they played Earl's Court again,or did they?!!!

Witnessing the x-factor songs played live changed my perception of this album completely . Harris has only himself to blame for his horrible production that buried a great album . Songs like "the aftermath" sounded like juggernauts live

It's nice, isn't it? I could only find one copy of it in the shop. I'll have to wait until after work to read it all.

Is this the collector's edition you're talking about with Maiden on the cover? Cos I can only find a lame one with 'baby metal' on the cover and a small Eddie in the corner that says 'Iron Maiden stickers inside'.... :(

...maybe I should go in to Malmö and try my luck there...

Death Or Glory or Tears Of A Clown are possibilities! IMO

Well, they got the length of a potential single for sure. I am however really curious to listen to this supposedly-Bruce-solo-title-track. Was there also a contribution by Roy Z? What about the riffs? Are they in standard tuning?

That's last month's edition. Trust me, you'd know the new one if you saw it! It might not be out yet. I couldn't get it in North Yorkshire on Tuesday, and there was only one copy in my shop at home yesterday.

They played Earl's Court on 16th of June 2000, again on the Dance of Death tour in December 2003 and then 2 nights on 22 and 23rd of December 2006 on AMOLAD tour. Those were the only times. I went to all of them!

These days i am listening to the following:
1. Total Eclipse
2. Mercenary
3. Fallen Angel
4. Fugitive
5. Duelist
6. Tailgunner
7. Tears of a Dragon with Tribuzy

All great songs that i usually dont listen to... helping a lot in terms of dealing with the wait for a new album

Ah maybe they won't get it in store until late August. Womp womp.
