When I first heard it and Blaze came on after the slow intro to SOTC, I was let down big time. However, I've come to enjoy both albums with him a lot over the years and now I absolutely love The X Factor.

Travis I think you need to announce us zomething regarding the remaining days to Book of Souls.

I think that Blaze albums have one of the most amazing melodies in band history. I don't know why but there is something in them that I can't find on another Maiden records. It's almost like another band.

You're not alone, and just to name a few, I'd say that guitar melody that bookends the solo in The Unbeliever, or the last half of Virus, or the lead/solo in Como Estais Amigos. Pure beauty.

Minus 2-3 songs, X Factor is a madterpiece. I was sorry that he left after 2 albums, his voice on Brave new world on songs like DOMB, BB and Nomad would have been better than Bruce s versions. Imagine Blaze bringing Stare at the Sun to BNW

I wish they had put Justice of The Peace and Judgement Day on there instead of...hmm... Look for The Truth I suppose. That would have made it quite outstanding.

LFTT has one of my most Blaze vocal performances of all time along with Lightning Strikes Twice. And shouldn't we continue this discussion in the commentary section?

I hope we get a review for TBOS says how progressive the album is or at least the longer songs.

Yes Travis, we should. But it's hard to controll myself - Blaze didn't get enough appreciation for his work in Maiden.

I only wish for great melodies.

As for great melodies, I think BNW, DOD and TFF has way more of them than AMOLAD, which could explain why I have such problems with AMOLAD, it's just not as melodic as I prefer my metal.

I agree that AMOLAD has the fewest melodies of the 4 reunion albums. I still love its dark feel to it and am very glad Maiden decided to do an album like it with Bruce. And Bruce has nothing but amazing vocal performances throughout.

yeah. But promo for SOL give me hope for some great melodies on BOS. I can't wait for Empire of the clouds. If it's different from all other Maiden songs and still get Steve Ok - it may be something great.

Oh... I know! If there is intro like in Blood on the world's hands I can die happy death. I love beginning of that song. Add to this little magic from Adrian and Bruce at his best and this is it.

Empire of the Clouds has a piano music box into. The Red and the Black has a strummed bass intro however it isn't as long or complex like the one on Blood on the Word's Hands
