Safe to say the new album will sound very much like AMoLAD. Except longer. Plus I hope it's a dark album. The title sounds very dark, but so did DoD and that wasn't any darker then normal.

It would be awesome if there was double bass on the new album. I'm still holding out for a power metal Maiden album. Just imagine, the Maiden sound except with double bass, faster songs, and glorious chorus'. And of course Maiden is more progressive so mthey wouldn't have typical song structures.

Anyways.....

I don't know where the idea comes from anyway. Maiden has never sounded like a power metal band and anything they've done that sounds sounds even remotely power metal is because the power metal bands adapted it from Maiden (think twin guitar leads).

The sound is an improvement over what it was on TFF, and Nicko's snare has more of a "deep" sound than is normally the case for him, but I'm definitely getting good vibes from that short clip. I just want to hear the full thing now!

Mmmm......its only 27 seconds,but i hope its not the fastest song in the album.I miss that kind fast openers,in the last 3 albums the fast opener songs are.........really soft.Not bad intrumental part but yes very bluessy

Hmm, this needs some checking. GK1, you mean, when done in a row. Or just in total, in a whole song, H never takes the last?

edit: checking done. Indeed, when there are three solos in one song, Adrian never takes the last.
He did let others play a solo on songs he co-wrote though.

Cannon did a nice summory of wno plays what in the 3 solo songs.You are right about letting others play solos in his songs.However in case the song contains one solo then the guitarist who wrote it plays the solo.

I know the teaser clip is miniscule, but it's definitely making me feel even more positive about the album, fantastic sounding production-wise and the music itself is fluid, catchy and quintessentially Maiden in a way that none of the many, many fake clips ever could be.

Here's a nice one for ya:

Which song is the only one, in which Adrian has a solo and Janick Gers also has a solo (and Dave no solo). A unique happening in Maiden history, let's see if The Book of Souls album is going to change that.

Yep, this was discovered by a member called Kwek-Fu-Seng or something. He gets the credit.

Another one:

Which song is co-written by guitarist A, while guitarists B and C have solos in it (and not guitarist A).
