I wrote up my analysis of both Sydney shows in this thread back in February, but now having listened to a bootleg of one of these shows many times over I would just like to add the following regarding the setlist (spoiler alert on songs played):
The setlist really is 99% perfect...particularly from Dance of Death through to The Evil That Men Do.  The openers are great, including 2 Minutes which Bruce makes a joke of it being a new song from 1983 (wrong year Bruce, I think).  The one song in the main set that didn't quite set well live on both nights, but should remain only in a different position,  was Coming Home.  don't get me wrong it was fantastic...but just like when I saw a SOT show back in 87 and third song in was COTD it just seemed a little early for a "ballad" as such.  Coming Home could easily have sat between NOTB and HTBN in the encore, squeezing out Running Free which is fun but takes a spot that could be used by another song.  IMO to make the setlist 100% I would have moved Coming Home to the encore and in its current position at number five either gone with The Alchemist or These Colours Don't Run...two songs to continue the momentum before the haunting intro to Dod at number 6.  I am certainly not complaining and in retrospect preferred these shows to the two SBIT shows in 08, but whilst hopeful for as much reunion era as possible to hear 8 songs was fantastic...replacing Running Free with another reunion era song would have made for the ultimate set...and would have offered either 6 new songs or atleast one from each reunion era album.  All in all an awesome tour...an awesome setlist...and i cannot wait for the release of the TFF tour DVD/CD.

  I thought the same thing.

DVD INFO:
IRON MAIDEN's April 8 and April 10 concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile, respectively, will be professionally filmed and recorded for a future DVD release.

In a recent interview with Chile's Futuro 88.9 FM, IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris stated about the DVD upcoming shoot, "We will record two shows. We will use footage from both concerts for the DVD.

"We have amazing supporters in Chile and Argentina and we want to show more of the audiences from those parts of the world. We already filmed some footage there for the 'Flight 666' movie, but only one song per country was used. We will now have a chance to show much more of the crowds in Chile and Argentina.

"Wherever we go, we are always asked what the best audiences in the world are, and we always say that it is South America — Chile, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Now we can show it."

When asked if the setlist for the Buenos Aires and Santiago concerts will be the same as the one the band has been playing on the current "Final Frontier World Tour", Harris said, "The setlist that we are playing is basically the same we have been playing on this tour, what you have been able to see on Internet. The sets that we will do in Chile and Argentina will be the same, but for these two special shows that will be recorded, we have prepared more songs and a bigger production. So what you will see in Chile will be a long and big show."

Regarding how many cameras will be used to capture the performances, Harris said, "I think it will be about 10 or 12. I had always been involved in the production and direction of the concert DVDs in the past, but we are now working with a very good company, the guys who made the documentary 'Flight 666'. They are the ones who are responsible for recording these shows, so for me at least it is a great relief."

If they don't play Alexander The Great now, they never will. I hope that they will play Starblind and something from AMOL&D for the DVD.

Did I just read that 'Arry was not going to be as involved in this DVD as in the earlier ones? Does that mean that epileptics may also watch this one safely?

I'm excited that the same crew that did Flight 666 will be doing this.  I know those are crazy audiences and all, but I hope they still mostly feature the band.

However-
I seriously seriously doubt that they prepared more songs.  If they did, I'd expect Wrathchild and Run to the Hills.  I loved to be proven wrong but I just can't imagine them rehearsing other songs for just 2 shows.

I don't think they'll rehars much different songs, probably there will be songs which were played in the 2010 tour, or something, but not songss which were never being played.
Come'on, 'Alexander the great'? yeah great song, but I can't see Harris doing that.  :(
The other thing is... "better production" hmm, why just there? probably I wanna see too some special effects like they used to have in the past(like SBIT, or other tours), I understand that there will be a recorded show, but this doesn't means that the rest of the tour gigs are for fools.

Have they done anything like this in the past, played an extended show for a CD? I know they did for RIR when they played RTTH, but who gives a fuck.

If this extended set is just Run to the Hills and Wrathchild, I'll be pissed right the fuck off.

There isn't much hope for anything else than what LC mentioned, but I hope Maiden will prove us all wrong come Saturday morning.

Really excited about the DVD news. Extended set..Steve not directing, a DVD documenting this tour...recorded in SA. Yup sounds good!  :edmetal:

Thats pretty much what I expect them too play, but I think there's a chance they"ll play:
Children of the damned or Phantom. Maybe we"ll get lucky and they play starblind or some AMOLAD songs.
