Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Nah... There is a massive Zoom argument now between Steve, Janick and Adrian, Bruce if they should release Stratego or Days of the Future Past...

It's predicted to go on for so long that they'll miss a deadline and album will be out before they decide which one to put out.

But what is a point of single releasing?

They are not releasing anymore singles with some bonus tracks, there are only digital download, these singles will not get any radio play so what is a point.

When they release new album I dont care about any single songs, I just listen to full album.

Reading album review... Is Lost in a Lost World thematically similar to Invaders and Run to the Hills? Am I right, or am I left :ninja:
And set in the X Factor mindset.

TFF is miles ahead of TBOS performance- and also creative wise. The production is rather dry and dull, but at least there’s some bottom end on it. TBOS sounds like a rehearsal tape with some good, great and really half baked ideas that could use some serious editing and or rearranging. TBOS is by far my least favorite reunion album based on the above and also on the less than stellar performance of the band (wrong notes, missed beats, loose tempo). Sounds like they’re guessing their way through some of the songs. Would have liked a bit more solid performance and definitely a better production as I think it sounds thin, shrill and very mid peaky. Rant over.

Let me just say, even if the new maiden album was shit, it still would get stellar reviews. None can afford writing a bad review for a Maiden album
Virtual XI got a minus review in the one of the biggest newspapers in my country. - was the lowest score and +++++ was top score. Think the headline was something like “Fallen heroes” or something along those lines. Different times back then obviously.

Dance of Death, if I recall, also got swaths of mediocre reviews from the press and review sites/blogs (seriously, the notion of the rock/metal press having much sway in 2021 is kinda funny). So, unwarranted high praise isn't necessarily guaranteed.

At the end of the day, I don't give a shit what others think about this new album really. I'm just excited to make up my own mind in a few weeks.
