RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

The more interesting tidbit in that interview is Bruce's love for the Killers album and this quote from the article writer:

And along with all the other landmark songs that will surely be in the Run For Your Lives set - Phantom Of The Opera, Running Free, The Number Of The Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Run To The Hills, The Trooper, 2 Minutes To Midnight, Fear Of The Dark and the signature song Iron Maiden - maybe they’ll throw in one or two more from Killers.

The smart money is on the title track, which Dickinson loves so much, and the headbangers’ favourite Murders In the Rue Morgue.

I kinda doubt Maiden would allow something like that to be published if it wasn't right. All the songs in the first paragraph already seem like safe bets, would be really interesting if Killers and Murders in the Rue Morgue are actually on the table. But even just Bruce highlighting the Killers album itself seems like a pretty strong indication that the band is looking at giving this album more of a spotlight than it has had in recent tours (a non-Wrathchild Killers song hasn't been played in a pretty long time, 2005 maybe?).

Yeah it's gonna be an Early Days tour mark 2. The safe picks are, well, safe, and probably what we should expect. Maybe a redo of Beast over Hammersmith?

Interesting that TETMD wasn't mentioned. I'd be seriously surprised if they didn't play it because it's taken the kind of extended break it's never gotten before partially thanks to corona, being last played in 2019, but SSOASS is probably the one album where they could pull out something a bit unexpected. Might end up being wishful thinking, but I'd rather be a little optimistic.

TETMD is not a deep cut but also not a hidden classic. When it's not played people don't miss it but it's not like people are going out of their way to ask for it. I'm guessing that it's going to be CIPWM again though.

There's zero chance they'll do CIPWM again. In fact, I suspect the only reason it got played instead of TETMD on TFP was that it's a significantly easier song to play on the drums, which would've been a major concern for the band by the time rehearsals got under way.

I don't know about that, Madness is still a big hit when played live and gives a moment of levity among all of the ultra serious Maiden epics. They like playing it and there's tons of room for audience participation in that one.

That plus it seems like Maiden has a selection of second tier classics that are reliable favorites they like to play once in awhile but aren’t completely overdone. Children of the Damned is another one. To another conversation on here, Blood Brothers is probably in that category as well. They needed a couple songs like that in the “main” set to break up the deep cuts. Obviously that won’t be necessary on this upcoming tour, so that slot would probably be better suited for something like the Killers title track that hasn’t played in a long time. I expect Evil to show up again in its typical spot toward the end of the show.

On second thought, I’m looking at the Flight 666 soundtrack and never really noticed it was absent from the 2008 Setlist as well. The Clairvoyant could be another dark horse pick from that album that hasn’t been played in quite some time.

The tour will be a spectacle.
Bruce Dickinson: "“We’ll be presenting things in such a way that people will be blown away - not just by the music, but by the whole spectacle!”

Even more impressive promise now, wow! I think they will use multiple screens. Really curious to see it. More pyro and stuff is expected, but I really wonder if they'll use more props - probably not because of the screens?
Since the stage will be their best and most impressive one and they'll be playing the hits with a new drummer, I think this tour could really be the last. I mean, how can they top it. A new album tour is the logical next step (not Part 2, unfortunately and for the impression alone, although the Reunion era has its hits and popularity).

Bruce once again praised the Killers album and said he really wanted to be the singer on it. He loves the atmospheric songs. I think we'll get at least 2 songs from it, more, idk. And we know Bruce can be an indicator for which songs they might play (now more than before because of the new drummer) - the mention of Warthchild and the title track, I think we'll hear both. Expected choices.

Other songs he mentioned as his favorites from the album are Murders and Prodigal Son.

Agreed about Killers and that's a bit of an odd quote from the interviewer, but those are the expected songs to hear after all. Just a guess from him.
Yeah it's gonna be an Early Days tour mark 2.
Early Days 2 + at least 2 Powersalve/SSOASS songs and at least 2 90's songs.

Yeah, Evil That Men Do is an expected classic. And the fans will welcomed it like 2 Minutes. The candidates from SSOASS album are probably the most, so they can choose a rarer song instead or from other albums. If Moonchild (if it's not the opener, then I don't think they'll play it), the title track and OTGDY are out of the question (the title track has probably the best chance) - then Evil and Clairvoyant for sure will be played. At least one of them. I expect them two the most.
It also depends on whether they want to play deep cuts with a new drummer now or whether Bruce will want to sing Infinite Dreams. Nicko want.

This. CIPWM is a song I have no desire to hear live. Even Running Free/Sanctuary is ''better''. I don't want them either, maybe if the set is 17 songs. Very popular live song though.

The most likely ''second tier'' classics are: 2 Mintues, Evil, Wrathchild, Phantom. The rare songs should come from Killers (probably), POM (not sure), SSOASS (maybe) and the 90's albums. But do they need for this tour?
They don't play Evil in 2008 because they played it on the previous tour. The did the same with 2 Minutes in 2003.

Not necessarily. Having the most bombastic show as an anniversary show and then focusing more on just the music on the next tours is also good strategy.

Are yall ready to listen Clive era songs with Clive's drumming style? I think there is a possibility that Simon will play the songs as they were recorded.
I never had a problem with prime Nicko's interpretation of Clive's stuff
I agree on both (the first won't be easy at all!), although I notice/want to hear some patterns, which is normal with the studio versions in your mind. Well, what can I say, both Nicko and Clive are amazing drummers with unique styles.

I'm not sure, once they only used screens for the 2nd time, although they did that in '88/'90. Special production for a special tour/anniv, yes; the crew's work should also be taken into account. It might be a bit easier for them with screens. Going back to backdrops after screens? I mean, sure, but why not a new album tour with screens. They could do whatever they want.

I think we are getting both The Evil That Men Do and The Clairvoyant.
I think so too. However, if they pull out Seventh Son again (there is a chance), I think that will be the only SSOASS song. Same with Rime for Powerslave.

If they play the title track, I still think SSOASS has a chance for a couple of songs, despite it had a whole tour dedicated to it. At least 2. Also, since TFP was without a Powerslave song, I think 2 Minutes is also certain. But if they want to play more early days songs and 3 or 4 90's songs, I guess some albums will have to make room. Like POM, for example. There are more deep cuts from it though. It would be refreshing not to hear 2 Minutes and Evil for another Hits tour, but at the same time, and with a new drummer, they might just go with the usual stuff and with 2-3 surprises at most (including the 90's songs). 2 epics plus Hallowed and Fear are the expected long songs.
