RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I would argue that Wasting Love, with massive streaming numbers, as a single and a music video is not much of a deep cut if we're being strict, but fair enough...
The same can be said for Icarus and Stranger.
Highly unlikely there will be anymore 3rd leg of any tour.
Agreed.
This will be their last tour.
I don't think the band knows that or wants it. The theme was probably chosen because of this and the said amazing new production, but you'd think a band like Maiden would want to include at least some of the popular Reunion songs on almost every tour, as they've done since 2010, with the exception of 1 tour.
Im thinking that there will be another tour from xfactor to senjutsu? And a few classics
Unlikely (even from BNW), maybe more likely Part 2 and a new album (hybrid tour again), but isn't it odd that they'll be celebrating their 50 years with only half of their albums? I wouldn't be surprised and it would fit Maiden's hints games. Plus after this tour, if they play enough deep cuts, and we know they won't do more from the 90's, the Reunion era is next in line for deep cuts and popularity. The new tour is a Hits tour, but for more eras this time.
A new album i think its posible, they said that they could record albums in semiretirement
This was just a thought, we can't know for sure.
Next up it's probably a new album tour (if there is a tour at all)...
Yeah. They have plenty of time to record and release it in the next 2 or 3 years, and so does Bruce. I think Nicko doesn't feel ready to record in the studio and they are following an album tour with a Hits tour as always since the Reunion. I feel they want to make another album with probably more ''different'' and strong ideas. They continue to prove themselves with interesting material. Bruce too. I really hope so. A new album tour for 1 or 2 years (I guess) still leaves room for one last Hits tour spanning the whole career.

My theory about Wasting Love having those huge numbers on Spotify is that it may have been included in a high-profiled curated playlist from Spotify. Maybe some "heavy metal ballad" curated thing that many people have subscribed on and have listened to it that way, rather than being targeted.

That is, to my understanding, exactly the case. Other streaming services seem to be very eager to include it to such playlists as well.

To be fair, Wasting Love is the 5th most streamed video on Maiden's official YT channel as well, where playlists aren't as important. Here in Brazil, I have lots of friends who aren't into Maiden at all who know Wasting Love. I think it is that popular, just not among heavy metal fans.

This tour cant be a greatest hits tour. That was legacy and thd current tour

I would not call the current tour a hits tour when it features 5 new songs and some deep cuts that have not been played live in ages (or ever before this tour, like Alexander the Great).

The Run for your Lives tour will definitely be a nostalgia-filled-cabaret-flavoured hits tour, only featuring songs from what many people consider to be their best albums.

That was my first guess when I saw the numbers, it would mean some kind of detective work, but I would be interested to find the origins of the streams and where they came from. Still interesting regarding the song as it so stands out from the others..

Maybe Maiden as a band started to appreciate Bruces solo effort in rotating some songs from night to night, so this might become an interesting approach for the upcoming tour.

I would love that, but I think someone in the band said in some interview long time ago (maybe it was on Death on the road documentary) that due to the light show, pyros, changing backdrops and the other fun stuff, they can’t flip around the setlist and have to follow the set.

MTV effect? It did have a music video, after all

That’s not rotating stuff in and out, that’s deciding something doesn’t work and to try plan B. Most tours have had some minor adjustments near the start. Usually putting Wraithchild back in, unfortunately.

That's great to hear.

They've never been that kind of a band and it would be easier for that if they use big screen/s, but I guess everything needs to be rehearsed beforehand with Nicko more times than ever. For this new tour, the best would be for them to change 2 or 3 songs for the 2nd leg and to cover more from the 9 albums, but considering the promised amazing live show, I again doubt they would change even 1 song (like now) during the 2 years, which would be sad but even more expected now. They tried some kind of rotation in 2010 with longer and complex songs and didn't like it. They just need to change a couple of songs between the legs of a tour and that will be enough. After all, this is a Hits tour, unlike the current one.
I think if RFYL features a similar spread of deep cuts and fan favourites as LOTB, I'll be happy.
Yes, that's the best we can hope for. 5 at most. The current tour is with 4 or 5, if we count Prisoner and Heaven.
