Can anyone explain why Infinite Dreams is supposedly so hard to play that they never revive it? Technically speaking it's no harder than Hallowed and is infinitely (pun intended) easier than say, Rime or Powerslave.
It's no harder to sing or play than a lot of other Maiden songs. I don't get it either. Unless one or more of the band just don't like it. For me it's one of my top Maiden songsI'd love to hear an explanation as well. Some have said that it's too hard to sing, which is weird since there are so many Maiden songs that are much harder to sing and regularly make the setlists.
+99%For infinite dreams I imagine it's the vocals that give them trouble. Once it gets going there's very little room for Bruce to catch his breath.

). Ι personally find Infinite Dreams really difficult to sing. Hallowed is also difficult, but they don't have a choice. (Hallowed and Aces are the 2 songs from the current set that Bruce is struggling). IMO Infinite is even more difficult. Bruce won't be able to sing that nowadays

Ι think it's also too fast for Bruce nowadays.I think Hallowed might sound great tuned down half a step, maybe even a full step. Aces High can go straight to the bin.
Here's Wasted Years a half step down played by Smith/Kotzen with Bruce as a guest. The combination of him being rested (not worn out on touring) + the half step: Sounds absolutely phenomenal.I think Hallowed might sound great tuned down half a step, maybe even a full step. Maybe they are hoping the videos for Aces High is a distraction from the vocal performance…Yet they still insist on playing Aces High live... (@Ascendingthethrone We need you here!).
I guess it is more difficult to create some animation for Infinite Dreams than it is to have some puerile dogfight with Eddie as a character of the Battle of Britain. That and also that Aces High is the opener of one of the last great live albums, when the 2LP gatefold release was still a statement and not a contractual obligation.
If they are going to change something about the setlits. Aces high is a must. I doubt they change something but that adrian interview.... but aces high its not good to see that.I remember at the first gig in Budapest last year, when Churchill's speech started playing at the beginning of encore, I vaguely thought to myself "What the hell are you doing, for fucks sake".
After the performance of it, I thought to myself "This was rough, and it's the first night. Why?"

It has two guitar solos back to back.I really like Infinite Dreams but I think it needs a proper guitar solo. I think that would elevate it from an A to an A+.
For what it's worth - Infinite Dreams is tougher than average on bass, but it's not exceptionally difficult either. If Harris is able to play "Phantom", "Rime", "Death of the Celts", and "Caught Somewhere in Time" in recent years, that's not the issue. It's no harder to sing or play than a lot of other Maiden songs. I don't get it either. Unless one or more of the band just don't like it. For me it's one of my top Maiden songs
That is a breath of fresh air. I think it’s really needed in order for Bruce’s current voice to sound its best. Downturning a half step might even save Aces High from its ugly demise in the live setting. Here's Wasted Years a half step down played by Smith/Kotzen with Bruce as a guest. They certainly don’t have to play is as stupidly up-tempo as 1988, when they played everything so fast Adrian quit the band. For infinite dreams I imagine it's the vocals that give them trouble. Once it gets going there's very little room for Bruce to catch his breath.
