why do you call it a disaster? how many greeks do you think are members of the fun club? not many would be my guess. We're gonna get the usual 25 to 30K attendance easily.

The goal for this live it to do 40-45k.It's a great show with an amazing setlist and a celebration for the band's 50 years. If there wasn't the Metallica gig and maybe with a little cheaper tickets, we could do a sold out show. The force is strong with Maiden in Greece.

I think I'm priced out of Knebworth. That's fine, I've seen them twice on this tour. But it is a bit of a shock that general admission + parking + camping comes to £207.50.

It looks particularly greedy as the big Nick Cave show in Preston Park in Brighton around the same time - again, the only UK date, with pre-sale tomorrow - is asking £45 - £52 per ticket. I know this is unusual these days, but it shows it can be done

That price is very unusual but it's apples and oranges comparing those two. Wait and see what Oasis charge when their Knebworth gigs get announced and then tell me that Maiden are asking too much.

If they wanted 30k attendance in Athens, why would they book such a huge venue? It will seem empty with 30k people.
With these prices, I don't see them selling more than 25-30k tickets.

The promoter booked it the band doesn't care where they play. Also I think they can sell out the arena tickets and look cool. The problem is on the court sides with the 145e per ticket. It's literally insane for a country which is on a financial crisis for 15 years now, and for metal fans who have already paid a fair amount of money for the Metallica gig.
