Windy Days (lyrics)

The wild wind blew over the ocean
To the luck of many, many souls
But it still started a commotion
And the water washed any fear of holes

A simple fault with the infrastructure
Caused a major chain reaction
The wind then left a fracture
And the world saw a subtraction

Eighty-six, eleven
Where are we now?
Where do we go from here?
On a windy day, we might know

Eleven, eighty-six
Where are we now?
Where do we go from here?
On a windy day, we might know

Sickness in them
One hundred led to fifteen
Left their bodies numb
The wind made it in

Take a look at the clouds
Life will continue still
Gone are the shrouds
That gave us quite a chill

Eighty-six, eleven
Where are we now?
Where do we go from here?
On a windy day, we might know

Eleven, eighty-six
Where are we now?
Where do we go from here?
On a windy day, we might know

On these windy days, we might know

Here, have another one.

Lightdancer (lyrics)

We were on the run, the night was falling
Beyond the sun, we were running
Our love blows across the night
As we head towards our light

Lightdancer, that’s who we are
Lightdancer, just you and me against the world

We’ve been running for nearly all our life
And our destination is in the clear

The mist won’t stop us running
Inside, our hearts were burning
And the view is in sight
As we head towards our light

Lightdancer, that’s who we are
Lightdancer, just you and me against the world

We’ve been running for nearly all our life
And our destination is in the clear

Love is what makes the world go round
A red rose rises from the ground
Rising high, shining so bright
As we head towards our light

I remember when we first met
It was dark and stormy
I remember you was playing hard to get
You were lonely before me

Lightdancer, that’s who we are
Lightdancer, just me and you against the world

We’ve been running for nearly all our life
And our destination is in the clear

Lightdancer…lightdancer
Lightdancer
Lightdancer...lightdancer
Lightdancer

Wow. Here, have something sappy because I don’t know. I think it’s supposed to be some sort of love-ish song-ish but I’m not sure. Well, maybe it is.

Relapse (lyrics)

Is it gonna happen again?
The crime of the century?
Will it bring back the pain?
Once more since history

“Relapse returns with a vengeance and kisses your soul
Until it turns darker than your blackened coffee…”

They said the car crashed into the lake
The lake of fire, into the forever beyond
When the signs show there’s no one left to wake
You hold on and let your body feel relapse, even more

But that was the truth, you miss it all
When there’s no one, who do you call?

Is it gonna happen again?
The crime of the century?
Will it bring back the pain?
Once more since history

“When guilt takes over your weakened mind and smiles,
do your senses tingle with the pleasing words of satisfaction?”

For when it strikes another time
This time, you won’t have a chance
The ghosts of your past chime
When the mirror asks you to dance

You say yes…

But that was the truth, you miss it all
When there’s no one, who do you call?
Is it gonna happen again?
The crime of the century?
Will it bring back the pain?
Once more since history

“And now the glass prison shatters into a million pieces
Do you clean it up or let it be forgotten along with your love?”

Relapse, just a memory out of place
Let’s meet up together, face to face
Then we can talk about all of this
Then maybe you won’t be at risk

Anymore…

But that was the truth, you miss it all
When there’s no one, who do you call?

Is it gonna happen again?
The crime of the century?
Will it bring back the pain?
Once more since history

But that was the truth, you miss it all
When there’s no one, who do you call?

Is it gonna happen again?
The crime of the century?
Will it bring back the pain?
Once more since history

“Your life will continue, don’t you worry, rest your heart
Now, sit back and laugh at it all, look how stupid you were?”

Once more since history

Here's one I had tons of fun writing.

Academy (lyrics)

To live and learn is difficult
As I try to fit in with the world
Silence fills my eyes, it’s so typical
Of this planet called Earth

In early January, I stopped smiling
Imperfect body and soul
Every emotion was compiling
No need for damage control

Real power doesn’t exist
A figment of imagination
I learned this as I went adrift
In my mind, I came to an realization

That you should never look a gifthorse in the mouth
That you should never ask for too much, lest you’ll be greedy

It’s a trial and I’m the defendant
There’s no defense, though
The last remnants
Of my past has made it so clear

As I am, I will always be alone
I need to adapt, time for a change
I need to stop running, need to stop roaming
The psychic fields of the strange

And for one moment, I actually believed that it was over…

I’ve realized that I should have gone further
I’m sick and tired of all your testimonies
Your hypocrisy tells me everything, certainly
Certainly, I’ve realized what you’ve all become

I laugh and scoff at the prospect of heaven
I turn the other cheek at the prospect of hell
I don’t think I care anymore about this mess I’m in
Maybe it’s time to throw in the towel, maybe it’s time to go

There’s no point when I ask myself
“Am I wrong for thinking this way?”
Oh, times have really changed my mind
Hold your tongue, I know what you’re going to say

That I should leave my troubles behind and start again
That I should just drop everything and realize how far I’ve gone

Really now, what’s hope?
When I’m sleeping, how do I dream?
I’m heading up a slippery slope
And I’m just a fish following the endless stream

The walls have fallen, I cannot take refuge
There’s no calm before the storm
Why stop now, when I have nothing to lose
There’s no one to keep me warm

When I’m in the eye of the storm, I can never go back

Hickory dickory dock
The mouse ran up the clock
The clock struck one
The mouse ran down
Hickory dickory dock

Here I am, sitting to pass the time
As if everything wasn’t enough
I’ve gone and gotten myself hurt
And I realize there’s no rhyme or reason

I’m going to die soon, all alone in my bed
I can now see my memories, in my head
I’ve been robbed of my freedom
The one thing that kept me alive

Oh, the ending is bittersweet
But in the end, it’s the ending I wanted
I never wanted to be great
In the end, I settled for just good

And that’s how it is
In this academy
Yes, that’s how it is
In this academy

After all of this, I’ll become much wiser
I’ll learn to hope and I’ll learn to dream
And I'll leave you all behind

And that’s how it is
In this academy
Yes, that’s how it is
In this academy

In this academy
In this academy
In this academy
In this academy

In this academy, that’s how it is
That’s how it all goes

And the cycle will always continue...

One of my better lyrics, I think. I'm not exactly sure.

Death In Heaven (lyrics)

Fear
Is the name of the steel that took your life

There
On the hill stands the soul of the man you were

You would reach into the silence
And you would get the better of me
But I won’t let you do that
Gonna make sure your head ends up flat

Dark deception is the name
Of the game we all play
Is this an haven or not?
When there’s death in heaven

Fame
Is the thing that decides who you are

Gone
Gone is the time you would look at the stars

You would walk beside me
And you wouldn’t notice me at all
But I will make sure that you do
You don’t know the plan I’ve sewn

There’s a storm emerging
And I won’t save a soul
The paths are diverging
When there’s death in heaven

Moisturize the dying people
Fill them up with the good you have left
Get them out by the ending of December
You will realize that you were too slow

It’s so bittersweet that it all ends this way
Destroyed by yourself, destroyed the world you love
And it’s gone for dead

Gaze at the skies slowly turning dark
The wind starts blowing in the east
It will reach you at some point or another
It’s only a matter of time before you die

Did you expect anything else?
Did you expect a greater life from the blackened world?
When you’re lost, the stink of humanity

One
You undying hypocrites
Two
The last of us has gone beyond your hopeless truth
Three
You have wasted your time
Four
What does it matter if you die?
Five
Who will care at all in the long run?
And six; how can you be in when you’re always out?

Declare the prophets as gods
Step forward, make a real stand
Take your revenge as martyrs
And see what a waste your world has been

Existential crisis is now
Follow the sun and avoid the moon
When your spirit is charred black
To be never be safe again, there’s death in heaven

Well, are you happy now?
You got what you wanted
Your corruption has started
And now, will you leave?
You’re addicted to chaos, why won’t you just die?

Save the people, save the steeple
How many can you keep in the morgue?
Save your reasons, save your freewill
How will you look at yourself afterwards?

Follow the beliefs the messenger told you
Listen to him, he will surely lie
A half-truth or no truth at all
Yet, you all fall to his scorn

And when the time comes that you die
Forget about honor, it’s too late
Life is always wasted in the eyes of yours
Forget about freedom, just pay for your death

Leave the kid for dead, you don’t care
Watch your step, oh, no, you won’t
Living in terror at something you caused yourself

When misery becomes a way of living
Now what does that tell you?
Your body is fragile, and your mind is frail

You’re trapped with death in heaven
You’re trapped with death in heaven
You’re trapped with death in heaven
You’re trapped with death in heaven

Tick tock, time's running out
Remember hickory dickory dock
Wait for a flash and jump right in
Your punishment is death

Now can you see what you’ve done?!

Some happy lyrics I decided to write.

Um...I get some from Genesis lyrics, some from Dream Theater lyrics...it's pretty much all over the place. I'm not that original.

The Lunar Cycle (lyrics)

I. Starlit

As I try to regulate my soul
As I try to make sure I’ll stay awake
Where the life once glimmered in gold
Just another memory out of place

Question; would you dare to help me?
Would you dare to take a risk?
Or would you stay safe in your box?
Out of view, and security wins against freedom

As I gaze at the stars above
Eyes focused on the unknown
Into the lake I had dove
The lake of fire, the crystal dome

Everywhere, I see joy
Reality at it’s purest
Here I am, a forgotten boy
I’m feeling tired, time to rest

Starlit, just like the skies
Starlit, just like the fluttering wings
One may live and one always dies
I remember the young girl who used to sing
For me…

II. Innocuous

Sunlight running through my mind
As a pacifist, life must always go on
With love, desperately finding the ties that bind
How can you go wrong when you never have to run?

Here, I’m here to help
To give you a hand
No need to exert yourself
I’m running through the sands

But as they say
Every cloud has its silver lining
There will always be the end of an day
When the night falls, a bell is chiming

Harmless, banal
That’s what some call me
And I honestly agree
At least someone has the gall

Naivety, forget and forgive
So pure but so fragile
It may take longer to grieve
Help me now, the lonely child

Dreary days begin to be more common
As the sun seems to set earlier
As my childhood ends, one life is gone
And the winter has arrived, my life turns swirly

But I still recall, that once upon a time
The times in the fields as a young, impressionable child…
Maybe I was better off dead after that...

III. Summer

I imagine it all ends someday
I didn’t believe in life after death
I never did have anything to say
I just inhaled for a deep breath

And so did I venture off on my own
I didn’t go anywhere, though
And so, when my heart began to glow
I knew love had begun to grow

“Your smile, the perfect one”
I remember it all so fondly
I never asked where it was from
But I just knew, that it was built to last

And so when summer came
Our happy selves reached into eternity
No endings, just fun and games
The eyes that held that serenity

But as suddenly as it started
It was over and as I ran forwards
I knew it was too late
And as life went onwards
I didn’t have a second glance at all

But I was the young girl who sang
I was the lonely child
I was there when the bell rang
And I felt when my mind turned mild

I just have one wish left to tell the stars...

IV. To The Moon

Back to the past
Away from my future
And finally, at last
The final overture

Let me tell you a story
It’s a story of him and I
I doubt you’ll feel sorry
Such a long time has passed by

It all starts on a spring night
The lights were low and our spirits were high
So, we went out to get a good sight
I didn’t realize then, but that same memory would make me cry

We went and got out my telescope
And we went out to the hill with the tree
Expecting a wonderful moment, we hoped
And our hopes were confirmed, as the stars agreed

That’s when it struck me like a bolt of thunder
The beautiful moon right above our heads
Having never seen it for its beauty before
And we spent most of the night before returning to our beds

Little did we know
That was the last night we ever spent together
And as he turned to go
I got a sinking feeling but shrugged it off,
And I promised him to write letters

I actually did write that letter
I obviously didn’t post it
And things wouldn’t get better
But that was more than what I could admit

To the moon, to shoot off into space
To be with him, just one last time
And it’s been such a mental race
And once again, the bell began to chime

I had come full circle…

V. Moonshine

”When I first looked back at the Earth, standing on the Moon, I cried.”

”I didn’t feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.”

“Contact light.”

“I feel fine. How about you?”

“I’m coming back in… and it’s the saddest moment of my life.”

It’s the end...but the moment has been prepared for
I was just about to lift off the ground and soar
When tragedy struck and ended it a moment too soon
But at least I’d be with him a moment earlier,
There with him, together on the moon

A life for a life, a mind for a mind
Within the darkness, I was blind
Not to myself but to him
And I was sadder than I had ever been

To the moon, I went…
...and the lunar cycle continued

“Dear Eric...thank you for everything. That one moment, it changed my life. And I will always cherish it and keep it deep in my heart. I will always remember you as my best friend and as the only one I truly loved. Please, don’t forget me...I won’t certainly forget you. And I wish, I truly wish that I could be reunited with you, with us together, at the moon, just like we wanted that night. It all ended a moment too soon, and you wouldn’t have wanted to see me that sad. Oh, I cried and cried. I guess it was only to be expected. But...oh, I can’t come up with anything more to write. I guess I’ll just see you later.

Emily.”

Well, I guess that closes that chapter. This is possibly the last song I write for a long time. I hope it's a good one to end on, at least for now.

A Train To Catch (lyrics)

I. She Departs

Station to station, she travels alone
Reflective moments blast her apart
The rain falls so ever harder when I’m gone
Her golden smile broke my fragile heart

We’re standing in a empty, white room
There’s no sound and we just stand still
And we’re waiting to be taken to our tomb
She’s going first as she’s climbing up the hill

And she’s got a train to catch
Absorbed by the chaos
She’s got a train to catch
And she’s not going to pray for us

It might not have ended this way
Deflections into a warped mind
Silencing the ending of day
At night, we’re all blind

The ticket to ride
The mission to the unknown
The waters can’t change the tide
Where the eastern wind has blown

She’s got us ensnared in her web
We think of what she’s done as she smiles
Going down the ladder, step by step
Step by step, we’re all being stockpiled

And she’s got a train to catch
Absorbed by the chaos
She’s got a train to catch
And she’s not going to pray for us

And with the sound of the engine
Her steampunk mind ignites
It’s worse than what you can imagine
As darkness and light reunites

In a burst of empowered emotion
The rain explodes into a bright, white flash
Chaos is suddenly struck in motion
And we realize that our work was slapdashed

The train departs from the station
And leaves behind just the devastation
Without looking behind her
She’s made us all learn

That she’s gonna end the world…

II. The Armageddon Factor

(This section is all instrumental)

III. The Bewildering

Trying to find ourselves in time
As we wander among the trail
There’s a picture on the wall
Where the man has no eyes
The trail turns more narrow
As our eyes open wide
What we see, we can’t believe
We’re back where we started

And the tracks come to an end
Where the sun begins to shine
She now knows that we crossed the line
Down in the undertow, the opposite fight
It’s the bewilderment that gets us
And she’s reached her limit break
And I can feel she’s getting tired
And just like that, the train departs again

And she’s got a train to catch
Absorbed by the chaos
She’s got a train to catch
And she’s not going to pray for us

And she’s got a train to catch
Absorbed by the chaos
She’s got a train to catch
And she’s not going to pray for us

What Day Is Today? (lyrics)

Woke up at eleven thirty
Feeling refreshed I head downstairs
I get ready for work and I drive off
Can’t be late or else it’ll be tough

Haven’t slept that well for weeks
Someone really need to fix that leak
Dripping down like some tear
But this is nothing I cannot bear

What day is today?
I’m feeling so confused
Don’t have anything to say
I’m not that amused
So I ask you once again
What day is today?

Woke up at eleven thirty
Feeling refreshed I head downstairs
I get ready for work and I drive off
Can’t be late or else it’ll be tough

But something feels so strange
It feels like my day hasn’t changed
I feel like I’m repeating myself
As I put my things up on the shelf

What day is today?
I’m feeling so confused
Don’t have anything to say
I’m not that amused
So I ask you once again
What day is today?

Woke up at eleven thirty
Feeling refreshed I head downstairs
I get ready for work and I drive off
Can’t be late or else it’ll be tough

Alright, this is frustrating me
Can’t handle it to this degree
Will someone tell me what’s going on?
I’m alone in this, I feel so withdrawn

What day is today?
I’m feeling so confused
Don’t have anything to say
I’m not that amused
So I ask you once again
What day is today?

(It’s Wednesday)

Mist And Mirrors (lyrics)

I. The Sky Tower

(this section is all instrumental)

II. Reflections

Looking in the mirror
A shadow appears
Hidden away forever
Scared of its fear

I take a look at the misty sky
Looks like the heavy rain has stopped
I was scared, I was wondering why
I was scared than ever before

Reflections, mesmerising me
Why did it take so long?
I remember where I was from
Now look at where I am now

I remember the days gone by
When there was a springtime for me
Feeling joyful whenever
Someone would talk to me
Then the rain started falling
And the people went away
I didn’t know where to go next
So I ran, into the night

The shadow has become longer
Blinking, it came so suddenly
Looking around to see if she’s there
Waited but nobody came

Reflections, dripped in fear
Why did I just stop and stare?
Do I belong with the weak?
Or am I promised a bit more?

This is where it all began
Where we’ll begin
Again

III. Remembering

The promise I made to her
The voice never heard
I never told anyone
I was afraid of what she’d say
Then she got hit by the lightning
At night, it was so bright
As she struggled to hold on
I ran, deeper into the night

Silent sorrow, empty wind
The mist surrounded me
It passed over her
When I turned, she was not there

I remember the smiles and tears
I remember the words she said
She told me she loved me
Now I don’t know what to feel

I remember the night that she died
I think I cried until morning
I still remember the funeral
There I cried some more

I wanted to go home
Yet I wanted to stay with her
I thought that I would learn
But I felt so alone

I remember the smiles and tears
I remember the words I said
I said that I loved her
I should have looked further ahead

IV. Pink Shell

Walking under the sun
Waiting for her to follow
We were going to the beach
And the seed began to grow

I remember the castle we made
How fun we had, how we played

That’s when I made the promise
She asked me to tell no one
Stayed at her house that night
Her parents wasn’t home

So we stayed up the entire night
How fun we had, we even had a pillow fight

As we gazed into the blue
We knew that our love was true
When I found the pink shell
I gave it to her
I believed it was the perfect gift
And she agreed with me

Wandering through the woods
She told me that she was scared
I told her that I would always be there
So she held me in a warm embrace

When we came out, it was dark
So we went back to her place

As we gazed into the blue
We knew that our love was true
When I found the pink shell
I gave it to her
I believed it was the perfect gift
And she agreed with me

As we gazed into the blue
We knew that our love was true
When I found the pink shell
I gave it to her
I believed it was the perfect gift
And she agreed with me

But those days are gone now
Now I’m alone
But I wish someone
Would take me back to her

V. Seven Years

Lost beneath the dark crystal
Lost behind the waterfall
Must keep on running
Must stop from turning

Seven years have gone since that day
And I still remember everything so vividly
After that, how could I stay the same?
And who but me, could I blame?
I wasn’t there for her
I was just home, I wasn’t there

Then I heard the rain
I ran over but it was in vain
She had gone with the train
Left me with the pain

Mist and mirrors
It’s getting clearer
And you and I
We’re slipping away
Away from each other
Over the waters
And the past
It’s slipping away

Seven years have gone since that day
And I never made any more promises
After all, how could I do that?
There’s a mirror on the wall
It's hanging there so small
Looking closer, there’s cracks in it

I saw the mist
So close to me
Then I began to cry
I couldn’t resist

Mist and mirrors
It’s getting clearer
And you and I
We’re slipping away
Away from each other
Over the waters
And the past
It’s slipping away

VI. Phantasmagoric

(this section is all instrumental)

VII. It's Over

What I’ve learned tonight
What mattered the most
Wasn’t her memory
I should go on with my life
No longer wondering why
No longer scared

And in my eyes, I see her smile
I’ve gone the mile
I have finally learned

And after all said and done
I’m still alone but I feel free
(Holding the pink shell, I smile)
It seems that the night is gone
And I look out to see the sunrise
(Holding the pink shell, I smile)
And I think that before too long
I can finally sing that song
That we found that day
The day has come, the night is gone
And where it all began, where we’ll begin
Again
Again
In the name of love
In the name of love

Here's another one. It's somewhat long, I think. I hope you'll like it!

Another Medium (lyrics)

I will move on without you
And I have taken control
No more gazing into the blue
Into the hotlands, I’ll go

I’m all alone
And all for the better
I don’t wanna go back home
Again, I wanna be something greater

I’ve been searching for a another medium
Searching everywhere but none I can find
So I guess I am on my own
Into the volcano, and I’m going blind

There seems to be no other way out
And I’ve wandered too far, it seems
But I don’t wanna know what this is all about
As my mind starts cracking at the seams

I’m no longer alone
And I’m stuck with the heat
I don’t wanna go home
Again, I don’t wanna feel defeated

I’ve been searching for a another medium
Searching everywhere but none I can find
So I guess I am on my own
Into the volcano, and I’m going blind

I’m spinning around
Looking for the way forward
Spinning around and around
But I can’t seem to go onward

I’m still searching
Looking for someone like me
Still searching so hard
But I guess it’s just me
All alone in the dark

And everywhere I go
It’s the same maze every time
I know when the wind will blow
I know when the bell chimes
And I know how it feels to be lost
As I am surrounded by my own dust
All alone

I’ve been searching for a another medium
Searching everywhere but none I can find
So I guess I am on my own
Into the volcano, and I’m going blind

And everywhere I go
It’s the same maze every time
I know when the wind will blow
I know when the bell chimes
And I know how it feels to be lost
As I am surrounded by my own dust
All alone

It’s so hard
I’m spinning over again
And I’m learning to never leave my home again
But in the midst of loneliness, I feel
I feel that I’m getting stronger within

But what can I do with that power?
Getting more lost by the hour
And time keeps ticking
And I feel I’m tricking
Me, myself and I

I’ve been searching for a another medium
Searching everywhere but none I can find
So I guess I am on my own
Into the volcano, and I’m going blind

Looking for a another medium but none I can find…

Through The Ice (lyrics)

The days never seem to end
The nights never seem to come
I don’t know why, I don’t understand
I think I’m losing my mind, gotta believe my heart

And how the years seem to end so fast, it’s love
You can make my dreams all come true
You gotta help me out, please turn this around, eh

As I look through the ice
As I’m falling down
I want so much but I don’t know why

I think I heard a voice next to me
But I don’t think it was you
Never understood how this came to be
Better unwind, better finish it up

And how the years seem to end so fast, it’s love
You can make my dreams all come true
You gotta help me out, please turn this around, oh

As I look through the eyes
As I’m falling down
I want so much but I don’t know why

Was it something that I said?
Feeling strange, I’m so confused
I could be going out of my head
I’m losing all my touch, better lift me up

And how the years seem to end so fast, it’s love
You can make my dreams all come true
You gotta help me out, please turn this around, hey

As I look through the ice
As I’m falling down
I want so much but I don’t know why
I don’t understand
I want so much but I feel out of line
Give me a hand
I want so much when I’m living this life
I want so much but I don’t know why

CORE (lyrics)

I’m filled with determination
Why would I always forget?
And coming to the realization
That I feel a small twinge of regret

I’m headed to the final destination
Unless I’ve missed something
Feeling a strange relaxation
It ends here and I mean everything

I heard a voice, it’s calling out
“Help me out, I’m feeling scared!”
So I hurried to save whatever it was
I started to think of what might happen
“Let me out!” I heard the voice again
But listening closely, I thought I heard a train
And I realized it was my own mind
I’m not afraid, yet something’s wrong
And I’m guessing that it won’t be long
Until I find it, oh

I’m headed towards the CORE
To find out what’s out there
I don’t know, but I’m not scared
There was no another medium

Believe me when I say I looked
You don’t know where I have been
There’s nowhere that I’ve overlooked
Believe me, I never found anyone

I’m learning now in my peaceful place
Every whisper in my ear
“I thought this was where I came in…”
But this can’t be, I can’t be lost again
It’s just a voice inside my head
All those things must be left unsaid
I wish someone was here, don’t wanna be alone
I’ve got so far, and I can’t find the way
Back to my home

I’m heading towards the CORE
To find out what’s out there
I don’t know, but I’m not scared
There was no another medium

Believe me when I say I looked
You don’t know where I have been
There’s nowhere that I’ve overlooked
Believe me, I never found anyone

I’m learning now in my peaceful place
Every whisper in my ear
“I thought this was where I came in…”
But this can’t be, I can’t be lost again
It’s just a voice inside my head
All those things must be left unsaid
I wish someone was here, don’t wanna be alone
I’ve got so far, and I can’t find the way
Back to my home

Is This A Test Because Oh No, I Didn’t Study (lyrics)

Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh, no, I didn’t study

Come and tell me, buddy
You know I got to know
Yes, you know I got to know
Anyone tell me, please anybody

My friend’s got a crush on the teacher
I tell him it’s weird and he has let it go
Apparently, he likes to keep me on my toes

My other friend forget her speech there
And she was ashamed and I can understand why
As she ran from the classroom, beginning to cry

Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh...I didn’t study

Come and tell me, buddy
You know I got to know
Yes, you know I got to know
Anyone tell me, please anybody

I got a C on my math test
I did alright because I actually studied
Now I’m unprepared, I haven’t rested
I guess this time I was a dummy

And my friend hasn’t talked to me
I don’t know why, how can this be?
Perhaps he found a new friend
Or he’s trying to play pretend

Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh, no, I didn’t study

I didn’t study, is this a test, oh no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh, no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh, no

Come and tell me buddy
You know I got to know
Yes, you know I got to know
Anyone, tell me, anybody

Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh no, I didn’t study
Is this a test because oh, no, I didn’t study

I didn’t study, is this a test, oh no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh, no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh no
I didn’t study, is this a test, oh, no

Is this a test?

Bird Migration (lyrics)

Here they come!
Waiting for an opening
It’s only a matter of time before they strike
Attacking anyone they don’t like,
They’re xenophobic in nature

Flies right by!
Scanning their surroundings
Now they just will have to wait
For they must not be very late,
For their blood-thirsty sensation

They feed upon the human flesh
And their joy and laughter can be heard,
Whenever someone is attacked by their herd

It’s only at night that they finally sleep
Unfortunately, they are woken by noise
So be quiet, hush, and keep down your voice!

Now they strike!
Finally found their zone
Now their feast can surely begin
Flying in with maniacal grins,
They make us run for the hills

Follow the mob!
There’s a place we can hide
Sadly, it can’t get overcrowded
And the unlucky ones are shrouded,
By this fine mist of death from above!

There’s no way to calm them down
No one can stop the bird migration
A horror story passed down generations to come

Wherever you go, whatever you do
You can’t run or hide away forever
At some point they’ll find you…
...and your life will be a hopeless endeavour!

Uh oh, there’s nowhere to go
Any place you might know?
Come on, you’ve got to show
Aoooow!

We’ve been hiding for so long
But now they’ve found us
Looks like we’ll have to sing another song
We gotta run, nothing else to discuss

But wait, there’s something we forgot
Pull out the bows and arrows
Fire away, we’ll shoot the birds from below!

And the battle can begin!

At the end of it all, there were no survivors
No birds left nor humans
There’s no way to revive us
But wait!

In the middle of the field lies an egg
It’s an egg, oh no!

Wrath of Man
[acoustic]
The deeds of yesterday
chains us to the end
Guided through the maze
watch our kind descend
No chance to return
It's the newest trend
Future set in stone
The now we need to end

[lead and drums enter]

I have gazed
into the eye
watching us
from the sky
I have seen
with my eyes
division thickening
hear the cries

[time change]

Fear for the night, stealing your light
feeling decived and it's all so conceited
Mourn for the dead, kill for your meals
peeling the flesh of the wounds that wont heal
Driving the knife into my eye
feeling insulted the ways of my kind
running away from the bloodstained fields
Consciously killing, is this all real?

[solos and stuff, then back to normal tempo

I have gazed
into the eye
watching us
from the sky
I have seen
with my eyes
division thickening
hear the cries

Wrath of Man
Buries me
War again
across the sea
Wrath of Man
asking why
final plan
watch them die
