Hey how about the Bruins taking an improbabable 3-1 lead vs the Sabres. I almost shit when they called the Sabres for too many men on the ice. I told my wife (who is a die hard Bruins fan) that they were probably going to score on that power play.

I'm VERY excited over the Bruins. Sure they are not the Bruins of the early 70's or early 90's, but They are a solid team with good talent. Reminds me of PHX. Good goalies, ONE Star Dman, and competent talent up front in Sturm, Savard and Bergeron along with good support from Lucic and others.

YAY! There playing Wasted years before the face off in the NJ game! I'm shocked Philly is about to put NJ out in T-minus 7 minutes. Man I'm doing horrible in my pool this year so many "underdogs" are coming through.

Pascal Leclaire returns in the form from 2 seasons ago and makes 56 stops in 5+ periods for a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh.

Damn Leclaire... giving the Sens that false hope again. This is what I like about 7 game series, the truly best team does move on. Philly beat NJ, NJ only had 3... THREE 5-5 goals. San Jose won 5-0, the Caps finally got into the groove and while the pens were not able to close the deal last night, it certainly wasn't easy on the Sens who were up 2-0 and had to tie it at 3. Series prevent "dumb luck." At least I think so.

I agree with you, I'm glad it's best of 7 series. But that doesn't mean the Habs, the Avs, the Sens, the Sabres can't win. It's just really unlikely. There's a big difference between the two.

I'm still pulling for my Habs. We knocked out Boston a few years ago after being down 3-1!

A few years ago? Dude... try almost a decade! You're talking pre Lock-out lol. And I never said the lower seeds couldn't win, I said the truly best team does move on and gave the example fo Philly, the 7th seed beating 2nd seeded NJ. Once you are in the playoffs it really is anybody's game specially in the new Salary Cap Era. However, usually the higher seeded teams earn their spots. I say usually, because it really irks me Division leaders are rewarded with a 1-4 seed, when at times they benefit from a weak division (SE division is notorious for that). So on many ocassions the series between the 3rd and 6th seeded teams the 6th seed is a better team, but since the 3rd seed is a division leader they cruise to home-ice advantage.

So again the best teams, regardless of seed, move on. THE END.

Sometimes. Sometimes a hot goalie steals it, especially if it's two mediocre teams. But it's never undeserved, unless it's a game 7 and it's a bad penalty call…or the over the glass delay of game penalty….Buffalo.

OH man that pissed me off! delay of game penalty is the dumbest rule to be revised... People can exchange insults and punches to the face after crashing the net and nothing is called, clear the puck and it accidently goes over the glass, oh too bad! two minutes! BULL... SHIT.

WOW, Canuck's closed it! Now Phoenix has to win so i can see a canuck vs yotes game with my buddy here in tucson...

Boston puts out Buffalo and Montreal forces a game 7. Halak just single handedly won that game, thats probably the best goalie performance I'v ever seen. I'm a little worried now Washington needs to stop coming out flat. I still think Washington will end up winning on wed  :).  Props to Halak he was insane tonight, that was a good way to end an exam filled day.

Don't forget Mike Cammalleri. He played a hell of a game - 1 fluky goal, 1 great goal, a good assist - and he's been our best player this series. Worth every penny we pay him.

Power Play from the Caps is not even there...Ovie looks like he may be choking under the pressure, he's looked terrible, tripping over the blue line is a telltale sign of nerves. Varlamov let in two softies. I don't know if Halak will be fatigued from that brilliant performance and again the slow feet of the Cap's Blueline is exposed in the playoffs.

I love the headline at NHL.com: Ovie says no panic in Caps. Yeah right, you just won the presidents trophy and the weakest team (points wise) in the playoffs just pushed you to game seven... that's just sad.

I'm really happy for boston and chicago was able to close it too... now we wait for Det vs PHX!

Detroit sends the Yotes home, will face San Jose next round. Sounds decent, but the Chicago-Vancouver series is gonna be sick!

Montreal and Washington duel to the death tonight. I don't see why Montreal can't win, but the Caps are going to come out hard. We'll see!

I think that the Caps will win tonight but you never no. As a Caps fan I'll be pretty fucking disappointed if they lose, but the beauty of a 7 game series is the better team will come out on top. So if the Habs win congrats to them and they will have earned it by beating one of the best teams in the NHL. I'm happy with all the other series out comes, other then the yotes shitting the bed yesterday.

Agreed. I think Montreal has a good, underrated hockey club that is going to get better over the next couple years as our players mature and grow. I'm happy with taking the Caps to 7…but oh how I want to win.
