@ JackAttack: I just went out and bought WWZ after reading that quote in you sig :D

I hate to say it but I didn't like the reffing at all in last nights game, you know its bad when the broadcasting booth can make a good montage of all the missed calls. Gatta give it to the habs there getting to the pens and surprising everyone. (you know its bad when your cheering for the team that put you're team out  :smartarse:)

It's such a spectacular novel. The extremely unique way that Brooks wrote it makes it such an emotional and personal work, and my sig is probably my favorite part of the entire book. I won't give it away, but chills shot down my spine when I read that section and I felt like I could totally envision myself in that particular story. Anyway, this is a hockey thread so I won't continue, but I'm glad I turned someone on to something so awesome. Enjoy!!!

In other news, 7-4 Blackhawks!!!! Johnny Toews with the hat-trick and two assists to go along with it, what an awesome game for him. Back to Madhouse to go back to the Conference Finals!!!

So tonight is game six of the Pens-Habs series. While the Habs have been incredible the last game showed why Pittsburgh is a good team and far from a one-man show. Crosby and Malkin are on a 4 game goal drought, yet Malkin still dominated play on the ice and had an assist and they won 2-1 with goals from DEFENSEMEN. That's a team.

Congrats to Vancouver for staying alive for one more day, but I doubt they'll be able to come back from a 3-2 hole. Force game 7? maybe, but I do think the Hawks will prevail.

Boston hopefully closes their series today, but they have significant injuries to overcome. Sure they got Savard back, but they lost Sturm and Krecjic for the remainder of the playoffs :(

Montreal can win tonight. I think they will. So far they're perfect in elimination situations. Obviously I am going to be watching this hockey game on the edge of my seat. If Montreal goes out tonight, we did better than expected and it makes Bob Gainey look brilliant for his signings of all those players this summer. If we come back? Well, we push an unlikely run that bit further.

Gill and Camellari alone are making Gainey look like a genius. I'll be listening on NHL.com hahaha. I have found radio broadcasts WAY more exciting than TV broadcasts where announcers get lazy and start talking on the side instead of calling the game.

I'll be watching on CBC, the best station for hockey in the world. It's like they've been doing it for almost 80 years.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

The pens AND the Bruins lost! W....T....FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels so bizarre cheering for the Habs since I wanted them out last round. I guess people can chirp me for doing so but they've defiantly earned my respect, there playing with so much heart and so well as a single unit. I hope the Bruins dont fuck this up and let Philly in to the next round, as for Vancouver I think there done and that means the only person keeping my pool alive is Thorton :/.

If the Habs win they better win the Cup, that's all I'm saying. Tonight the Hawks can close it or Vancouver can try and push a 7th game. It would be sweet to have an all Canadian final haha.
P.S I was reading a bit on the World Championships... the U.S down 0-2 in round play? Seriously? And a quick glance at the Canadian roster... Tavares, Stamkos, Mason... It's just not fair to the rest of the teams LOL.

Mike Cammalleri saves the day. Who would have guessed that he would be leading the post season in goals. The more pressure that goes on him, the better he responds. Timely goals from the back end and the 4th line as well. This is a team that keeps surprising.

I feel sorry for the Pens. They get to go back home and answer all the questions about how they blew it in game 6, and they have the pressure of being the Cup Champions vs. the upstart, undersized, low-scoring Habs. Habs have no pressure. They've already performed above expectations.

Also, fucking Crosby crosschecking Plekanec from behind after the whistle. What a douchebag.

Douchebag? Mos def, but also I can't even begin to imagine the frustration he's feeling... the entire pens team is. He finally scored (2 points for the game), but Malkin is still in a slump, none of their additions from the last two seasons have done squat. They won game 5 from goals by d-men... good as a team, pathetic as defending champs.

Mike Cammalleri sitting on the bench before the game visualizing his shots and chances is one of the coolest things I'v seen especially because he scored from exactly where he was looking at. I know that most athletes run through scenarios in there head (hell I even do before rugby) but that clip of him on the bench with his stick is pretty sweet :P. As for Sid at least he didn't get the same chant as Ovi did in the Bell center, when Malkin tried to do that fancy play I think Sid went up to him after and said "you cant be trying that stuff" or something along those lines.

Yeah, it must suck to be the Stanley Cup Champion, Rocket Richard Winner, Gold Medal Goal Scorer, and the best player in the world, and be shut down hardcore by a rag-tag bunch of has-beens and never-weres. But when you're also the face of the game, you're supposed to man up and put on a good face.

Every other game he's had everything on the line he's played his nuts off. Russia vs. Slovakia, Canada vs. Slovakia, Finland vs. Slovakia, Habs-Caps games 5, 6, 7, and now Pens-Habs game 6.

Ok, gonna try to watch the 'Hawks game tonite-- go 'Hawks!

I love how the Hawks are stickin' it to one of the best (if not the best) home team in the game. Luongo has no answers for the Hawks speed and aggressiveness.
