I disagree, Onhell. I watched almost every single game the Pens played the last 2 years and when I felt there was officiating issues I always felt they were favouring the Pens. I'm not saying a conspiracy, I'm just saying that I don't trust Gary Bettman enough to not do such a thing.

Again, bad officiating will only carry a team so far... sorry, but we'll just have to agree to disagree.
YES! PHX wins!!! Aucoin said it best in the closing interview, they don't have any superstars (one could argue Brysgalov is there only one), but they play a tight, team effort. PHX is exemplified by their Captain, Shane Doan is a blue-collar hard working hockey player, who does not put up big numbers, but plays well and consistently night in and night out. Shame he got hurt. But it was that great effort by all their players that got them through. PENS vs. SENS next!

A pretty predictable day in the world of hockey. Pens won, 'Yotes won, 'Hawks won, Sharks lost and Canucks lost. No surprises hahaha.

No you didn't, but I did have a feeling the Sharks were going to be their usual lose to the 8th seed selves.

I still think the Sharks are going to win.

Unless Andersen ups his game to '98 Olympics Hasek level, the Sharks are going to win out in the end imo.  You can only hold out getting out-shot 3:1 for so long.

Stranger things have happened.  The Caps are finally playing like the team they're supposed to be, again without Theodore in net hahaha, let's see how far Varlamov goes this time.

I love the fact the only goal scored in the Sharks/Av's game was Boyle scoring on Nabokov.

I have a funny feeling that there going to play Theo next game.
Theodore ended up riding the pine for the remainderof the playoffs last year after game 1 vs New York. I think Boudreau will play Varlamov unless he completely melts down.

HOLY CRAP! The Kings lead 2-1! THAT I did not expect. Vancouver was doing so well.... The Kings look a much calmer, tight team. This series was better than I thought it would be. God I love playoff hockey. LC was right, I retract my earlier statement and concurr playoff hockey is the best hockey one can find.

Kings PP and PK was un-fucking-real in game 3. Vancouver came out in the first 10 minutes and really starting hammering the Kings, but the LA special teams were all the difference in that game. Speaking of big hits, did you see the 42 year old Mark Recchi throw the shoulder, get the puck and set up Bergeron for the game winner? Glad to see Rex still competeing at the highest level. Just awesome.

I was listening to it on NHL.com and the last two minutes confused the hell out of me, it wasn't too clear as to what happened and the game recap doesn't mention the debacle at all. Either way, Pens won, so whateva whateva.

That's what happens when you don't call obvious trips and when you allow the Caps to play with 6 players for 10-15 seconds and a shot.

I feel bad for Price, theres no one that could stop the two Ovie goals and the other two are the defenses fault. Caps got lucky that Varly was on his game because they played a lazy game tonight.

Agreed...Price did well, but Varlamov stole the show. Not much the Habs could do...the Caps are just a better team.

Biggest difference is Varlamov has a better team in front of him, and he is a good goalie. However, just like last season against the Penguins, once they face a team just as powerful up front, he'll crack again.
