I'm pondering...how many people on the two teams are actually American?

Detroit: Cheli, Abdelkader, Conks, Lebda, Rafalski.
Pens: Hal Gill, Billy Guerin, Brooks Orpik, Rob Scuderi.

Why were you wondering about the gringos in the teams? Canada has always held the overwhelming majority of players. It's gone down to something like 70% of players, but that's still a lot.

Detroit has 8 Canadians on its rosters, and 8 Swedes.
 
I noticed that the Canadian anthem didn't get played in game 6... Or at least American audiences didn't see it. That pissed me off.

Detroit went from a heavily Russian Roster to a heavily Swede one lol. Washington has a lot of Russians at the moment.
 
I don't think they play the Canadian national anthem unless a Canadian team is playing. But why the hell are they waiting until Friday to play game 7? The fucking schedule regarding the finals has been a disgrace. Let's have 1 and 2 back to back, then travel day, then game 3, then day off, then game 4, then travel day, then game 5, then travel day then game6. Now let's have two days until game 7? WTF, just play it tonight... I am going away tomorrow for 12 days. I am going to DVR the game because I have watched every cup get raised since 1979, but I am still going to have to wait until a week from Monday to see it.  Everytime I think that maybe Gary Bettman's turned the corner and is not being a douche, he goes ahead and fucks up my enjoyment of the sport. Fucking bobble head talking motherfucker :(
 
I see your point, but maybe they want to give both teams some rest so they can give fans a heck of a game 7....
 
It worked for game 6.  However, I think Friday night is a bad time...too many people are watching other things.

However, I think the real reason is there is a NBA game Thursday.
 
Yes, but very rarely do Hockey fans watch basketball or basketball fans watch hockey. Being the deputy commissioner, Gary Bettman should know this. I think he personally hates me and does these things out of spite.
