It would be pretty awesome to have all the Staals make the roster lol. Eric center of line two, Jordan the PK/checking specialist and Marc at D... Canada has tougher decisions to make than USA. Burke went straight for youth with the exception of Modano. Canada not only has five goalies, but quite a few "older" guys.
 
I really wonder what is going on inside Hossa's head. He turns down a reportedly lucrative long-term deal with Pittsburgh to sign a one year deal with Detroit for less money. THEN signs a 12 year deal with Chicago.... W.....T.....F?

Kovie off to Ottawa, they'll need him if/when Heatly leaves. Edmonton let go one old goalie for another... Philly lost offense (Lupul, Knuble), but made up with strong D in Pronger, not too sure Boucher will be any better than Biron. Interesting year this will be...

The NHL will never allow Jim Balsille to own a team.  He's tried too many dirty tricks.  It's sad, because he would be a great owner, and I think a team in Hamilton would rock.  But....it just won't happen.
 
Last I read his proposal was unanimously turned down while some other groups' was unanimously approved... one other one needed tweaking.

On olympic news, Finland invited 48 players to their camp. In my very humble opinion I hope Salanne does a Sundin and allows younger blood to take a shot.. among other players. Odd how Niitymakki, who was the starter for the 06 squad is far from being that this time around, though stranger things have happened.
 
I disagree.  Selanne is one of the better snipers out there still.  If he has anything less than 25 goals this year, I'd be shocked.  Sundin is probably going to retire, and he damn well should retire.
 
Indeed.  I'm sure he'll catch some major shit over it.  What the fuck?  can't afford a .20 tip?
 
Heatly to San Jose! These are of the few trades I truly deam mutually beneficial. Michelak and Cheechoo should be good fits in Ottawa and Heatly hopefully brings post season success to the Sharks. I'm excited for Ottawa all together, they put together and interesting team.
