Could you imagine how scary they would be if they had some offense?

The scary thing is IF (Wash can still come back), they win the series they won't make it past the second round with the same strategy...

It kinda sounds like they are booing in St Louis, the Canadian anthem...but then you hear like the same noise....hrm.

So I jokingly told a friend that San Jose will choke like they always do, and lo and behold they are down 0-2 to the Ducks. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I should get paid for this sort of crap.
Also, in the Pen-Flyer game 3 they blamed Fleury's average goaltending for the Pen loss, UM... how about the 1-7 PP? The most potent offense and the strongest PP in the playoffs and you only convert once in 7 opportunities? They needed to do better, Philly mounted great momentum from killing those penalties including the SH goal.

P.S is it me or is Ovie becoming a fucking clown? He wants to win by himself and "crashes" practices to mess with the opposition's coach... really? Is he 5? Good lord.

I like OV. He can crash a practice. He provides alot of entertainment. As for the Ducks/Sharks, I think I said earlier this year that the Sharks are going to choke once again. Does'nt matter who is at the helm, man is it me or does Patrick Marleau  totally fucking disappear during the playoffs?

There's entertainment and then there's fucking circus. He should keep his antics on the ice and even then I feel he straddles a fine line.

Sean Avery would have done the same thing. Gamesmanship during the playoffs. There was alot of good stuff at the end of the Calgary/Chicago game last night. I thought Iggy was going to drop the gloves.

But Avery didn't and in fact since coming back hasn't done anything to merit negative attention. Again, there is the usual hockey fisty cuffs, and then there is standing in front of the opposing goaling and waving your glove in his face, sitting in the visitors bench during a practice just to be an ass, bad mouthing gfs, pretending your stick is on fire.... etc.... etc.... etc.

But in comparison to the other major team sports, these guys are pretty tame. I for one don't think Avery should have been suspended or waived from Dallas. But I understand why the league as a whole has low tolerance for these types of shenanigans, is that they don't want their players to conduct themselves like NFL, MLB or NBA players sometimes do when they are not on the field.

The difference is that Avery has a negative image.  If it was me, I'd say Ovie should have gotten a slap on the wrist...but he's a draw.  Trust me: Bettman takes these things into his mind when he issues punishments.

@ Nigel St. Hubbin: This is true, other leagues have more "bad boys."

@LC: I agree that Avery's image doesn't help him, he will always be guilty till proven innocent. But I am getting the impression Ovie's success is getting to his head. He thinks that because he is so good (and he is) he can (and is) get away with that sort of crap, because it gets brushed off as, "oh, Ovechkin is just very emotional, he's a joker, he's creative..." Well he's starting to be nothing more than a jerk and he better watch it.

Maybe somebody will catch him with his head down one day. I agree and if this was the old NHL, somebody would have knocked him out by now. But this being the newer, kinder, gentler NHL, I don't know if anyone can do it. In the old days, a veteran on his own team would have shut the mouth of a 4th year guy, superstar or not. But he still is fun to watch.

Why do you think Avery behaved better his first time, Shanny kept him in line.  Letting Shanny go was a bloody mistake.

Ooh, Carolina scored with 0.02 seconds left.  That musta hurt for Brodeur, who played great.

And how about Fleury?

Fleury stepped it up! HOLY CRAP! what was it? 44 to 24 shots? He rebounded like he was supposed to after an average game. Pens got this one. Few surprises this post season.

Sorry dude, but at least they took it to OT and did'nt roll over. They'll be back next year! :ok:

Yes, the first time I think I ever saw Brodeur ever go apeshit!! He was whining that Jusi Jokinnen bumped him and should have been called on a goaltender interference penalty. But he was out of his crease, sorry Marty!!

Thanks!  ..and I think you are right, they should be getting better in the next few years-- i'm hoping that they do like the Hawks, and start to be a bigger blip on the radar.

So:  Blues are out, Habs are out (sorry, LC), the Caps are on life support (do they have a choking issue or are the rangers that good?), Philly is about out, and the Jackets are about out, rite?

I haven't seen a lot, but one Fox sports bit I saw was taking issue with Price-- did he have a bad playoff series, or was it just a rough go for the Habs all the way around?

Ouchers.  Well, it happens.  Next year...Habs didn't really choke, man.  They limped into the playoffs...I think there's some problems in the room, myself.  They need a new coach, and probably a new GM.
