HOLYSHIT......Canada scores to tie it up with 5.4 seconds left,I'm thanking that Russian that tried to score with the empty net and got that icing whooooo. I'm not a fan of the shootout tho I think it should be continues over time the stakes are way to high for a shoot out.

International hockey has always been a shootout, and it will always be a shootout.  I prefer it that way in international.  Keep the extended OTs for the NHL playoffs.

If the NHL would ever go to the shootout for playoffs I would quit watching. I think the Canadian will win the gold. On another note, has Sundin even played a game yet with the Canucks?

Not yet, and Luongo is still out too. But cares about the Canucks when Pittsburgh is playing like shit?! Hell has frozen over :(. On the upside my Bruins are wiping their ass with every team this side of the Atlantic :D

Shit yeah the Bruins are tearing everyone up. Maybe they took lessons from the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics on how to win champioships. I think if they can do it, it would be the first time a City won the Championship in the four major sports so close together. Sundin is a douche by the way. I had to get it out. No fuck being a douche, he is a soap suds enema. Why does'nt he just take January off too. I mean he has had a grueling scheduele, with Christmas and New Years just last week, I am sure he is just worn out.

I've already said why I'm displeased with Sundin.  Well, I would be more displeased if the team he had fucked over wasn't the Leafs.  But it was, so heyo, par for the motherfuckingcourse.

Canada vs. Sweden tonight, though.  Gonna be a hot one baby!

Canada for the gold tonight. Sundin, I think , should retire. How effective can he be when he played his last game back in April? Or take the year off.

Canada wins, Tavares shined brightly. Esposito ran over the diving Swedish Goalie!! As for Mats Sundin, I am very skeptical about this impending quest that he is about to embark upon. Not having played in 9 months is not good. even if he practiced and trained everyday, it is very different than playing a meaningful game in any league for that amount of time.

Yay!  Canada wins again!  Poor Swedes, they did what they could...man, wasn't their goalie diving like he was a swimmer, though?  Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me.

We'll see if Sundin is still any good.  If he's not effective, I bet he won't get the ice time.  It's pretty simple.

Yeah, that Swede goalie looked like Greg Louganis out there. That's why I was glad to see Angelo Esposito run his ass over. That goalie had the best GAA and save percentage in the tournament, but he decided to be a clown out there and it cost his team a real shot at the gold.

On another note Ranger Great, Sergei Nemchinov was coach of the Russian Junior team. I liked the way he played his game. Worked hard every shift and was probably one of the best defensive forward to come out of Russia.

What's important is that Montreal had a big win over the Rangers.  If you remember last year, Montreal won over the Rangers, coming back from a 5-0 deficit.  That started the roll that took them to be the tops of the conference.

I'd agree.  An illegal crosscheck, something like that, one can expect a little of in a game.  Getting bit through the glove, and drawing blood-- thats too 'below the belt' for me.

Somenody needs to knock Jarkko Ruutu the fuck out. Maybe Brashear or Laraque can do the honors. Or have Joey Kocur come back from retirement for one game.
