Yeah now that I saw the video and that just sucks. But it still sucks for him though, one action just cost him his job. I'm doubting any other team will sign him now.

You make it sound like he had no control over what happened. I'm with SMX: No sympathy.

Hmm I guess I came off sympathetic. What he did is truly awful, and he gets no sympathy from me.

I guess what I was trying to say is that he gave up a great job that people would kill to have, so he could hit his wife. What an ass.

SMX 2014 Prediction Watch

Matthew Stafford will break Peyton's 2013 record for most passing yards in a season. The Lions still won't make the playoffs.

Stafford threw for 346 yards last night, putting him on pace for a 5536-yard season. Peyton's record is 5477 yards.

Edit: Lions final game this season is at Lambeau, where the Lions haven't won in over two decades. If Stafford keeps up the pace, he might have to go for the record in a place he's never won at. Remember, 2 years ago in the final game at Lambeau, my Packers successfully denied a record season to Adrian Peterson.

Chiefs win the AFC west. Broncos get a wild card, and survive deeper into the playoffs than the Chiefs.
No. 1 draft pick in 2015: Titans

Wasted, your boys let me down. Go down there and take care of this.

RGIII has a roaring comeback year and Redskins win the NFC East, adding more fire to the team name controversy.

RGIII threw for 267 yards and a 96.7 rating against JJ Watt and the Texans. Not bad.

Manziel and Bridgewater are both starting by week 8, and both lead their teams one game short of the playoffs.

Hoyer lost but Cassel won. Give both these starters time, they're both quite capable of sucking royally.

Drew Brees has an off year and the Saints are not a factor.
New England wins their division but gets swept by the Dolphins.

New Orleans lost and Miami beat the Patriots.

Bonus prediction for this week: the Ravens win. I don't even know who they're playing, but they'll win and they'll all say some bullshit about "pulling together during this crisis".

The bigger problem with the Ray Rice deal was it ended up being up to the NFL to do something because the criminal justice system essentially did nothing

Actually, I've seen a bunch of lawyers comment on this, and it seems the criminal justice system did exactly what is typical here. Being a first-time domestic assault, court-ordered counseling is done rather than jail. It takes (in most places) a second offense for someone to get locked up.

A problem with how the law is treating this case wouldn't be specific just to this case, but a problem with the entire system.

Yeah ... that is why hearing some people (not here) celebrating what the NFL did is just stupid. The initial suspension was not the problem at all.

Edit: I just noticed ... if all the Avengers are on the ground there ... who's flying the quinjet that's about to crash in the background?

Buffalo is going to be fired up on Sunday. As seen on another forum:

Coming off an upset, the team should be fired up.
Not just home opener, but first home game since Ralph Wilson died.
New owner that the city loves, and Jim Kelly's cancer is in remission.
Playing the Dolphins, who they can definitely beat.

He should be suspended while charges are pending.

I wonder if there is any steroid abuse in the NFL.
